This is amazing! Ok so it's a laser pointer that's pointed at a microphone. And the laser produces waves when the light gets broken from touching the microphone sensitivity. The bubbles are what's causing the light create tiny sound breaks in the beam and it creates that sound. Go look up laser lights being used to create sounds that mimic your voice and break into Alexa or Siri or Google products!

If instead of a laser we put an electromagnet what results can be achieved? In your experiment you can see that sound in the form of vibrations does not stop in front of a glass full of water. So it could work on masonry as well? Obviously by placing the laser and sensor (such as a photoresistor ..... ), on the light beam. I need to try it out.

this curius device uses the same mechanism as a photophone : on one side there is a laser , on the other a photocell that creates an electrical signal when illuminated , the electrical signal can get fed to a speaker and create the sound pattern we hear ... the original photophone by alexander gram bell could turn sound in light , and then light back into sound again ... this is the same working principle of a radio , since both light and radiowaves are electromagnetic waves , however it is indeed a lot more magical seeing it with visible light ...

good video performance, this video is underestimated. BUT, you could do more videos about optical sound processes.

How about a special light that CO2 (instead of other gases) breaks? Would that be a good pickup that's exclusively for aerophones? Tuesday, May 2, 2023 CE, 19:37 EDT

Great Work. Would like to know how it sounds if you would blow some smoke or dust through the laser beam.

Smoke sounds like a gust of wind and dust sounds like granular noise :)

Cheers ! Yes we built it ourselves :) Happy to make another one if you're interested
