Have you tried out the new variable text feature (for QR and Bar codes)? This is a key feature I'm looking for in a small desktop laser engraver.

Another very good review video. Love the videos you put out. About the dust issue at 12:15, I am wondering if the placement, shape and airspeed of the blowing fan vs the shape size and placement of the vacuum nozzle captures the loose particles generated. The blowing fan may do a good job keeping dust off the coin so that the laser have clear line of sight on the unlasered portion, however, the blowing air if it is too powerful might push the dust beyond the reach of the vacuum airstream thereby blowing dust all over the work room instead which is bad for your lungs. These fine particles stays airbone for a long time. Best is if the laser is contained within a sealed box with vacuum. But in the absence of that, please consider if your pushing fan vs vacuum works well enough and always wear a good N95 mask. All the best for your next review.

Can the slider-thing for bigger pieces be used to keep the cut edge square?

With the slider, the left and right sides are straight, but the top and bottom still cut at an angle.

Can you do a direct comparison to the xTool F1 Ultra? It has the same power lasers but engraving on the coins looker better and deeper on the F1 ultra.
@Scriven424 ай бұрын
OK, engraving with depth, 3d engraving, into brass with a laser is AWESOME!

Dear Aurora, I wonder if the PCBs (printed circuit boards) can be made using the fiber laser. Would you like to test engraving copper? Thank you so much. Kind Regards, Pavel
@Mr_Chuckles22 күн бұрын
Don't see why not, but the fumes given off by the backing (asbestos/fiberglass) might be an issue.

Great review as always. Looks like a good choice for laser engraving small bare metal or anodized aluminum parts. I wish the software supported Linux.

Can you hold it up to a surface like a wall and engrave?

Yes, but with the power cable and power supply. You can use the phone app to start the job over WiFi.

Hi huge fan of your channel. thank you so much for making the videos. Can you please make a video on how you add printer profiles to Prusa slicer. I have a couple of large bed slingers - CRM4, Neptune 4 Max, and Kobra 2 ‘max. I have successfully used Cura and Orca, prusa user interface has left me a little confused, I want to move to it because the couple of times I managed to send G Code from Prusa I noticed the amazing print quality I copied your settings from your Neptune 4 Max video, however I was confused as to why you set the max acceleration at 4000 and 8000?

I love your content but I've experienced issues with this LP5 the engraving depth and quality, sometimes it doesn’t even leave a mark on metal, which is supposedly one of its strengths.

Features appear amazing but this video shows the limitations of it - 3.5 hours for a coin is nuts. 3D engraving is the only feature I see it having over the LP4 but this is not feasible for production.

They claimed to support LightBurn, but it would be much easier to use their software to switch between different lasers, especially if you want to use a fiber laser for engraving and a diode laser for cutting.

From $3k-$4k I'd expect (more like, demand)a larger working area. This is like buying a sports car when you want to haul stuff around. Sure you'll get there faster but you cant put a anything larger than a bathroom sink in the thing and you still need to pick up a bathtub and toilet. Pass.
