Hey man, thorough information about the teardown of this seemingly ‘meh’ sort of gadget. I just wanted to let you know- This girl and I spent time listening to music like balmorhea and watching the stars and galaxy rotate on this star thing she brought over one night - I ended up marring her years later and we now have an 9 month old beautiful little girl named, Aria. It hadn’t worked for a few years and I didn’t have the guts to really tinker with the innards. But watched this and found It’s power solders where burnt to heck and that ended up warping a few boards. Now it’s Not to hard actually making one and..... Eureka! I know I may seems overly excited and all that. But I’ve rarely make comments and I just had to say, Thanks.

I’ve got one of those and thdd we motor hums and makes noise like stuff is happening inside, but the output shaft on the motor itself is not turning. I think the motor is shot. It’s a very odd looking motor too. Seems to be full of another gear reduction unit and the output shaft is offset to one side of the motor block.

I'm sorry I don't actually own this I just repaired it for a friend and shot a video you're on your own on the gear grinding noise

Just curious if you ever found a solution cause I have the same problem with mine. It was nice and quiet for the longest time then one day it started making this awful loud grinding noise every time I turned it on. It’s so obnoxiously loud I can’t even stand to use the projector anymore :(

does anyone know the number codes on the resistors on D1 and D2 on the circuit board? I bought some new ones but they seem to be too big still, so trying to find the right ones. They are the little cylindrical ones.

Apparently this place has replacement diodes, but honestly, you can order a 200 mw (make sure its focusable and fit it where the diode goes, can also change colors to purple or red if you do this). good job bro i got 6 of theses i got one with the problem u solved,but i have 3 brand new ones ,,witch have no green laser functioning,do you know anything about that?you rock thanks
