The Airsoft comment was definitely "on the money". Considering how well these were built, how well they performed and all the available options that come built in; I would recommend the BRX. The price seems a bit on the high side, for the individual, though price deals for bulk group purchases would make this a very ideal laser tag platform. Some minor tweaks and ideas to pass on to the manufacturers, but otherwise a good first experience. Thanks for inviting me for the test.

As a former Airsofter, I have to agree. 🤔 This BRX makes it cheaper compared to what it was with the gun(s), the BBs, the gear, etc. Kinda missing the good old days, and BRX looks interesting. Alas, it has this ”nieche” vibes with commitment requirement. (Also; I am a Finn living in Finland, and we have already those ”old schoolish” Laser Tag centers in a few of the biggest cities with cheaper prizing for their services... 😅 ...and the most hardcore/commited folk have had national championships...)

For me it goes into the direction i hoped consumer laser tag would go one day. Love the headband thing so you cant just pop your head out and stay in cover with your gun. REALLY like the "more accurate / aim a bit" thing - even though iam not sure how accurate you have to be..... With Airsoft getting harder to play in germany (field security reasons, general weapon discussion things and so on) i could definetly imagine changing from airsoft to a well working laser system.

The reload function should be on the left side if it's designed for right handed application. Though why not make it ambidextrous so both left and right handed shooters benefit.

Ok, my opinion on just watching this video and researching these laser tag guns. I was in the military and used in training in different environments what's called miles equipment that was expensive but did pretty good. I'm 58 years old and have done laser tag, in my younger years in doors which was nice but totally unrealistic. I am glad to see laser tag come this far where you get to do a more realistic combat senerio. You get to do it outdoors with more range and flexibility. The way its setup is to give you the loud sound of a real weapon and time it may takes to load an actual an weapon. It's basically big boy toys. The fact that it's very detailed in the software loaded with information i can understand the price tag. I have a range setup on the my property and we just shoot our real weapons at targets. Now with this laser tag i can be able to play combat at my old age and it will keep me in shape and sharp. Sighting the laser gun makes it even a better option the same way you have to site in a real rifle. That all being said i have talked friends into doing the laser tag after we hunt. They are all in. I ordered 2 to start the process. Should be here by the end of the week. Thanks for the review and real feedback.

I heard on the video that you guys did not receive any instructions as well. A way around this, is to call battle company, and tell them you did not receive any instructions in your package. I had to do that when I couldn’t find any instructions with my BRX rifles. I have the PDF file, which goes in to death as far is what the BRX is able to do.
@johnt73036 жыл бұрын
Battle company has updated the website with a link under the brx tab with a link to the pdf. The quality of the pdf is top notch. It explains everything in detail.

Good video! Whats the difference in distance between outdoor and indoor?
@Dadified866 жыл бұрын
Haven't actually tested it, but if outdoor range is around 500 feet, there should be no problems with indoor mode range unless you're playing at some kind of massive indoor complex.

Besides the high cost of the brx. Do you think you can make a video of Recoil vs BRX? Friends and coworkers are talking about the two. Pros and cons of both? I’m sure people are thinking the same. I’d like to see a video
@Dadified866 жыл бұрын
I was originally thinking of pitting these two systems up against eachother, but we've yet to have a glitch-free game of RECOIL to really have a decent comparison without having issues. Maybe when RECOIL has the bugs worked out of the App we could do it, but the last time we tried it we still had a few problems with RECOIL. The BRX, as noted in the review, has been solid.
@onewinged076 жыл бұрын
Also it would be awesome seeing a video of you guys testing out the brx with the phone apps
@nerfdude4446 жыл бұрын
As far as the phone application goes, there is going to be an update coming out that will have a section for the BRX. Since this is such a new product, that’s why they’re going to do an update for the CallSign phone application.
@hudkinsbrian6 жыл бұрын
The guns that are available now will only support Android when the Callsign app is released for the BRX. iOS is coming in summer of 2018 but it will NOT work with the current guns from my understanding.

What do you aim for? Any part of the body? How does it register that?
@Dadified862 жыл бұрын
Those rubber headbands we're wearing with the flashing lights have sensors built into them. There's also a sensor built into the rifle just above the orange muzzle cover. The hits are recorded and counted through the software inside.
@fernandodossantos66192 жыл бұрын
@@Dadified86 so if you shoot at someone's legs or back it won't register?
@Dadified862 жыл бұрын
@@fernandodossantos6619 No, but I don't know of a laser tag system that has full-body sensor coverage. If you are aiming for their head (visible from just about any angle) or their rifle is sticking out from some cover, there should almost always be an opportunity to register a hit on your target.

Can you do a tutorial of how to connect the headsets with the guns properly
@johnt73036 жыл бұрын
I had a bit of an issue with this. I have four rifles and on my first major start ups with all four. I thought, incorrectly, that I could pair a rifle with any headset. I quickly realized that's not so. Each rifle is pre-paired with the rifle it came with. so you'll have to rematch each headset with each rifle. Note that it can take a good minute or two sometimes for a pairing.
@italianmuscle95806 жыл бұрын
Yeah, we called them and they told us that because I thought the same thing. Thanks
@hudkinsbrian6 жыл бұрын
I also got 4 guns and was running into the same issue. But once we got them each paired we put color coded stickers on them, one on the gun and one on the headset. We are up and running and paired up within a minute now.
@zachtos26 жыл бұрын
We will add a firmware update section to the BRX website soon that will help headsets pair a bit faster, adds some sound effects and new features, getting ready for grenades and phone apps.

Lazer Tag Phoenix LTX vs BRX laser tag
@Dadified863 жыл бұрын
You can get a lot of mileage out of the Phoenix LTX. They're cheaper, easy to use, have good out-of-the-box performance, and simple teams settings. But if you want built-in game modes, incredible range and accuracy, and a more robust rifle design the BRX delivers in spades. They are obviously much more expensive, so deciding what you want to accomplish in your specific case will really determine which one will be a better fit for you.
