It's a real disservice to say that lamp projectors are '3,000 hours'. That's not entirely accurate to tell people that may think that you throw it away after 3,000 hours. Lamp projectors tend to be FAR brighter for their price point and you can replace the lamps. If a LED or Laser fails, it must be sent in for a repair, which can cost hundreds of dollars if outside the warranty. Lamp projectors, when the lamp fails, which could be at 5,000+ hours, you just replace the lamp yourself in ten minutes or so. Companies like Epson have replacement lamps for about $100 or less depending on model. Yes, some cost more. But, take a model like the Epson 3800, which is brighter than anything you looked at, for $1,700.... 1,500 of calibrated brightness is low-lamp mode, which is quiet and delivers 5,000 hours of lamp life. Throw in 3 replacement lamps for $100 each ($300) and for $2,000 you have 20,000 hours of lamp life with a bright, quiet projector that has a zoom lens and a good deal of lens shift. It's not portable and has so-so speakers at best. Oh, and add a Roku Stick for $40. Plus, most lamp projectors actually run very quiet in low-power mode. These models are designed for home theater, not for moving from room to room to room and projecting on your ceiling or using for camping. They are far more likely to go into an 'installation' situation, with a 120" screen on the wall. That's the biggest difference in many lamp models. They almost all are designed with installation features like a zoom lens, and sometimes some lens shift. So, instead of digital correction like is needed on every one of the models shown in this video, you actually can move most lamp projectors forward/backward and use zoom. Maybe move it up/down using optical lens shift. Maybe even have left/right adjustment once again using lens shift. When you think a single full sized HDMI is a 'great feature' something is wrong. HDMI is an industry standard. Not one of these models should go into a home theater because placement is super difficult. Get a real projector, try it out, put it into a theater. Imagine people NOT moving it everywhere all the time. Imagine they are installing it. Imagine they are using a 120" screen. Maybe some lights on at the back of the room. Suddenly the BenQ HT2050a (HT2060), or the Epson 3800, or those who want a better image, the Epson 5050UB. I get that you don't have a 'permanent' setup, but many do. It doesn't even make sense that you haven't mounted your Nebula if that's what you use. You're missing out on contrast, ease of use, and a better overall image.

I know the vid is sponsored by Anker, so the Nebula needs to be in there, but I feel like Xgimi are superior in similar categories at this point. :)

Choosing a projector can be tricky, especially with the recent popularity of ultra short throw (UST) projectors.

My Optoma gt1080hdr has an eco mode that extends the bulb life to 15000 hours. $100 to replace the bulbs and you're good for another 8+. years.

Lmao no surprise here who he picked being sponsored by anker. You made a video praising the freestyle but now it’s the worst one lol. This is why it’s so difficult to get a unbiased video and why I won’t subscribe to this channel
