Someone in the comments mentioned that he/she had never watched a modeling channel that made one cry. Well, that makes at least two of us. Absolutely stunning dioramas. Just one nitpicking detail. The survivor never just gets a letter nowadays, the news is delivered in person. May have been so during the world wars due to the sheer number of casualties but not today.

Die Dioramen, erzählen immer so unglaublich tolle Geschichten, unfassbar klasse das ganze und am Ende oft sehr traurig. Die viele Arbeit, die in diesen Einzelheiten steckt, diese Detailverliebtheit, das Spiel mit den Farben und unterschiedlichen Materialien, echt super. Vor 15 Jahren hätten mich Deine Dioramen so eingeschüchtert, dass ich den Modellbau aufgegeben hätte. Inzwischen sehe ich das zum Glück anders. Deine Werke sind eine tolle Inspiration und da ich nicht über Deine technischen Möglichkeiten verfüge (Laser-Cutter/3D-Drucker - der kommt aber), muss ich andere Möglichkeiten suchen, meine Ideen umzusetzen. Du löst also Kreativität bei mir aus und dafür danke ich Dir. Die gesamte Story der beiden Dioramen ist ergreifend und es ist gut, dass jemand den Krieg nicht als Hurra-Aktion darstellt. Ich hatte das ja schon zu Deinem Univermag-Diorama geschrieben: Man sieht zu wenig von den realen Folgen auf Dioramen. Damit bist Du ganz weit vorne.

I was just yesterday watching videos of some college-age kids reacting to Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" from 1970 (way back when I joined the USAF). It's been the same thing, with different tools, for thousands of years. We have not changed appreciably in all that time and may never. Income injustice and family impossibilities drive people into despair.
