I do no more use the sculpfun frame. The laser tree is a good product, but the frame of the sculpfun is to weak. You can't run fast speed because of the heavy weight of the head. You need a much more stable linear frame. So you can cut and engrave on very high speed. And remember, at high speed cutting you get much smoke, for that you need a strong suction

are you focusing on the top surface of wood ? if cutting 18mm if you focus for center looks like it may cut better because it is never more than 9mm out of focus but idk

Yes, you can read in the manual. For thick material set the focus deep

I use this K30 4 weeks now. No problems. The fans are a bit loud, but cool the laser good

I have a s9 and I am thinking to add this module.. can it handle the weight? what's your max engraving speed that you test it?
@kaipusch1838
@kaipusch1838 Жыл бұрын
I did engraving on plywood, I think if it goes above 1000 mm/min, then the lines become shaky. Likewise cut, straight lines yes, but curves then have small edges. That's when the weight of the laser becomes noticeable along with the movement. My S6 frame is about the same as the S9.

@@kaipusch1838 hmm so it is mostly for cutting with that much power with this frame.. thank you for the info!

@@Georgeprospero That's also what I think. Instead of 200 mm/min, I now cut my plywood 4mm with 600. It speeds up the cutting process. And I can make my motifs, such as 🎄, now in, for example, 9mm, that was not possible with 10w

@@pancherodelnorte it will fit. The only thing is, same as my sculpfun frame, it is no linear frame. The laser head is heavy. It is not possible to move fast speed. ..

can it cut 30mm pine?
@kaipusch1838
@kaipusch1838 Жыл бұрын
30mm i don't think so. This will be out of focus, the laser beam will be too thick in diameter at range of 3 cm

They claim this laser can cut 20mm in 1 phase, may i know why you cut 18mm with 3 phase??

If I cut at once I have to slow down with the speed. The wood is also heavily burned. No problem with fir trees. This can be done single cut. This is pine. Harder than fir. The problem is mainly the branches in the wood. You need 4 or 5 passes. Things are even worse with beech. Other wood I have not tried at the moment

Oh ok i got it, i think cut in many phase can save laser life, so you do it for 3 phase, cut to many phase will make a wave on the side this not good, but thank you for your replay sir, i has buy this module too, i hoe wont make me disappointed like NEJE A40640 this is the BAD LASER IN THE WORLD

@@user-vr3pu5mn6d not only for laser life. Cutting at 80 % won't burn so much. But depends on material

@kaipusch1838
@kaipusch1838 Жыл бұрын
Yes. That is the only thing i don't like at this laser. 2 loud fans. The cooling is good but loud. But in a case that you have to vacuum anyway because of the smoke, it becomes quieter. Maybe you can also replace the fans with quiet ones
