Couldn't see it on youtube so here is an old video of Baddiel & Skinner Unplanned Live At London's West End from 2001.

18:38 Haha! Frank Skinner's comedy improv skills were always second to none. His ability to immediately find the funniest possible line is remarkable. Baddiel throws him right under a bus there, and yet he manages to effortlessly pick out 'What do we do with the drunken sailor' in that tune. I remember reading Frank's autobiography. He tells of when he was first starting to make waves as a newcomer in the comedy scene, he was going down a storm at the Edinburgh Festival and David, already established as Newman and Baddiel, was in the audience. David was really impressed with Frank's show, and decided to test him out by randomly shouting out "Don't I know you from medical school?" to see how he'd deal with such a bizarre heckle. Frank immediately responded "Oh yeah, weren't you the one in the jar?". Phenomenal.

Totally agree. It's really uncanny. There was one episode of unplanned where two girls were doing the secretary thing. One of them mishandled the mic in some way and some piece came off it. Frank teased them a little bit and one of the girls said, "Stop taking the mick!", to which Frank immediately replied, "Stop *breaking* the mic(k)!"

That's actually pretty cheap for 2002. Shops still sold loads of vhs back then. Up until 2004/5 is when DVD really started taking over in the UK. I worked in a music shop back then.

I know this is a bit random but I remember an episode of Unplanned where Frank made a joke(possibly involving a pun) about Down's syndrome and then said something like "That's probably the only joke about Down's syndrome you can do that won't offend anyone." Has anybody come across that on here or can you remember exactly what he said?
@jamesg81754 жыл бұрын
I actually know this moment. It comes from the question, why are rubber ducks yellow? It's an episode in series 4

@@jamesg8175 Thanks for the reply. There are some episodes from that series on here, so I may come across that joke when I get a chance to watch said shows.
