I went with the SIRT pistols and Laserlyte targets. I’ve got the Glock equivalent SIRT and the Pocket Pistol. I primarily chose the SIRTs because of Trigger feel and gun weight. The SIRTs have the heft of my actual firearms. The Laserlyte pistols felt so light that they felt like toys and not firearm simulators. The triggers on the Laserlytes also felt like toys, and I could feel the toy-like trigger springs. My large SiIRT has the metal slide, and my pocket has the Polymer slide. I got the large pistol first a few years ago, but quickly realized the extra coin for the metal slide wasn’t worth it, so my Pocket Pistol has the polymer slide and I’m happy with it.

I know this video is old, but I see in the video and in the comments about the trigger take up laser being always on and how that can cause problems. I have had the 110 model for years now and it came with a switch to disable the follow laser and only show the shot laser. So its an added feature that you can turn off if needed. Also the software I use can see the difference between red and green, so it "maps" the red laser to show you trigger jerk and shows the green as the shot. Very valuable to me as for fast draw and shoot stuff being overly aggressive with the trigger was my biggest issue.

What software are you using? I just got the sirt 110 with red take-up and green shot. Do you know if the green laser will activate those other targets (like LaserLyte)?

Laserlyte breaks very easily. My first one was total junk, returned it. The second one broke after 3 months. I opened it up, it was this tiny little part that holds the firing pin/rod that snapped. I don't even know what that part is call or where to find the replacement. It looks like a tiny disk that has 3 heads. I will probably get a sirt next.

It's unfortunate that the SIRT pistols keep the laser light on when the trigger is pulled. Would be nice if it just flashed once.

Excellent video! Good comparison of features as well. I’ve been looking at the SIRT system for a while now. Still thinking of going that route. I already have the laserlyte insert for my revolvers. It fits into and is adjustable for different barrels/calibers. Works great for the revolver and DASA pistols...Sig. Not so much for striker fired pistols.

You had the pricing opposite for the Glock and the M&P. The M&P is the 107 model and is a $100.00 more than the Glock 110 model.

I like the Laserlyte. For dry fire you can see where the gun is pointing when your gun fires. You can see a blur of laser light if you jerk or milk the trigger. You can draw and shoot and get feedback of the light and (or not) steel target sound. You can vary the distance and light conditions. You can practice with multiple targets placed where you want. I have the compact pistol version which I think is the closest to my EDC Glock 48 (Single stack 9mm). It is very close to my hot summer EDC Glock 42 (380). It is a good basic training aid and has helped ny range shooting saving me money on ammunition. For the price it is a great way to improve your aim.

For the record Mantis X has adhesive rail sections so you can mount their transmitter to the baseplate of a magazine. It is like $10 on Amazon. I am using Mantis' Laser Academy, & it is a great tool, but we will be adding the Mantis X Elite when/if we can.

I in fact sent this pistol to be check out three times and I finally gave up on it and Laserlyte did give me a refund and I subsequently learned to appreciate the quality and performance of the SIRT pistols.

I bought four laserlyte sound activated devices. Two were good, one never worked at all and one lasted for only two months. I have targets like these since 2016 and the are working like new. Due to my horrible experience with the low reliability of the sound activated laser projectors, I will never buy anything from laserlyte again. I will use these cheap mechanical activated laser bullets, at least they are cheap.

I also have a Glock101 plastic slide model with Red Laser. I have had these SIRT pistols for years and I have never had a problem with them. I utilize these Pistols almost every day and have a great indoor laser range. I will purchasing a Pocket Pistol Model. The SIRT Pistols utilized with the fantastic L.A.S.R. program is unbelievable. I will be posting photos of my completed LASER Range one I get a few projects completed.

@@jcaputo3156 I'd like to see that, Joseph. I shoot and carry a Glock 17 so I only own the SIRT 110. I dry fire either the 17 or the SIRT or both nearly daily also. I have come to believe that is better than shooting the Glock 17 daily.

The one shown in this video is the Performer 110 model which is the cheapest they offer. It is the full plastic frame with red/red laser. MSRP is $239.99. Some websites of course sell it for less than MSRP but I would say about $215 is what one should expect.

🔥 While using a laser practice system is obviously worthwhile, the laser practice ("training") pistols are not. It's much better to use your own firearm. Lower cost too. By the way, these systems don't "train" anything. They're practice tools.

The prices of all these"laser training pistols " are ridiculous. Hell just go by a decent gas blowback metal airsoft pistol and set up a target in your house. They are accurate and most even field strip like their real steel counterparts.

Why the hell you just offer a simple Laser "Bullet" with a firing pin rubber button whete the firing pin can activate the laser while the laser bullet is in the chamber? This way, a shooter can use any real gun he has in his inventory on the Laser Lyte targets instead of shooting a silly Plastic laser Pistol !
@concealedcarry
@concealedcarry 4 жыл бұрын
Frank Napolitano those are certainly an option as well, but don’t work well with multiple “shots” when you’re using a striker-fired pistol as is so common these days. And again, per the title of the video, the intent here was to compare SIRT to LaserLyte.
