Excellent laser. I hate to say it since people will now buy them all, but I have used these extensively and so has many others I know and I have seen somewhere around 14 laser speeds ls m3 have no issues. even the older first gen versions still running to this day. I love these lasers and highly recommend them to anyone, why buy a civ powered gimp laser this does a good job and has a better illuminator than most grey market salty peqs... I'd say get a perst 3 if only they could still be imported otherwise, if you cant afford a fp new unit or dont know how to get one, or can't get a wilcox raid, mawl, or ngal, buy a laser speed and you'll be better off than 90% of everyone else.

In terms of reliability and durability, which of the "airsoft" lasers do you think is the best? Somogear ngal, invisble sight ngal, or laserspeed ls-m3? There's also the Laserspeed ls-m6 and the FL5. Incredible reviews as always
@4MRRanch6 ай бұрын
For what it’s worth, the laserspeed and invisible sight lasers aren’t Airsoft, they’re marketed for guns. If laserspeed could get their side and weight down it may be my top choice but the invisible sight has been phenomenal (comparison to real l3 NGAL dropping soon). Downside of invisible sight is the lead time (for now, he’s about to ramp up) whereas laserspeed will ship right away. I have not yet had reliability issues with any of the units on my channel, but are all between 400-800 rounds

First time I've ever actually looked into mil-spec type laser/NV sights since I was into night shooting with a surplus gen 2 Russian NV "goggles" set and bolt on TacStar type lasers on a Ruger1022. I always thought lasers were just a sort of toy accessory as far as civilian use went and never put a lot of stock in them in general. Basically they were fun to play with and really useful for coyote hunting . I could never get a laser module to survive mounting on a mini-14. 2 shots would knock it so far off zero it was almost dangerous. I'm going to rethink the whole laser thing after watching these videos.

I don't get why you would have to move the nut to change the tension on the quick detach. I have a few items with the same kind of qd system and you just have turn the the bolt itself to change the tension
@4MRRanch6 ай бұрын
The locking clamp can only go so far, so you shorten the length of threads with each small turn of the nut. This is a good feature (if implemented right) so you can get good lockup on a variety of rail tolerances rather than be stuck with a QD that’s either too loose or too tight

It can be difficult to get laserspeed to follow through with warranty work, and they will not upgrade or exchange prototype units. This is the latest iteration, so it should be fairly solid. They have another dual unit in the works that's a bit smaller than the M3, with better switchology, turrets and crane port. It probably won't see the light of day until late this year. I'm not sure if they have turnover or just ignore people post-sale, but having dealt with LS for over a year their communication is almost bi-polar. It's great and then one day you get radio silence. Unfortunate.

Can someone explain how you can make any of these bricks work?? If you’re right handed and you run a small clicky flashlight at 10:30, on an mlok, like 95% of the guys out there, the only thing that fits is an ngal. And just barely. If you use a springboard mount, there’s hardly enough room for the illuminator to clear the flashlight, and there’s maybe a mm of room between your flashlight and the bottom left corner of your ngal.. basically every single system seems to be virtually unusable. Why are the designers so stupid? Have they ever used their product? Have they ever asked themselves what the vast majority of their customer base wants?
@lorteti6 ай бұрын
You are right, they don't use their products, that explains everything.
@4MRRanch6 ай бұрын
That’s why you see some people running some interesting riser mounts, but I use the unity light wing to clear my LAMS. The upside to the mount of the LS-M3 being higher is I didn’t have many issues with my lights fitting.
@Yankeeprepperasshat6 ай бұрын
@@4MRRanchI’m not familiar with too many options but I got a Chinese copy of t-rex’s springboard mount. You’re really not going to get anything much tighter than that, and if it stands out any further away from the handguard profile, you bump into the underside corner of the ngal. So there’s really no other option. What I’d propose is an entirely new design, stealing most functions from the ngal. You start by flipping the location of the illuminator with the lasers. Why is the illuminator on the left side?? Its beam pattern is cutting across the profile of your flashlight bezel. Lasers won’t have that problem.. To further improve, the entire system could be shifted to the right a few mm. It doesn’t have to be symmetrically mounted on a picatinny rail. It just has to be compact and work.. The closer inline vertically to the barrel the better. And there should be two controls. One on the back for important controls, and one on top. The one at the back of the device toggles between only 4 functions. Vis Laser, Vis Laser+Vis illumination, IR laser, IR Laser+IR Illumination.. there’s no need for any other setting..The switch on top would be for hi/low power, as that difference is WAY less important to get wrong, and more environmentally dependent, meaning in one particular terrain, it shouldn’t change. If your device is good quality, and its power levels are tuned appropriately, it’s not going to change very often. Power settings should be appropriate for indoor vs outdoor, imo. How is every developer NOT naturally coming to this obvious realization is beyond me. I’m not an engineer and even I know that this is basically the ONLY way it can be done efficiently and compactly, and the controls are usually SO COMPLEX, and hard to use, that they would require 50 hours of training just to have muscle memory. Another thing: I know these systems can be more vertically compact either way little effort. Why aren’t they developers trying harder to make them thinner?? You could shave off 5mm without too much effort at all
@dmaraschky16 ай бұрын
Huh, I've always just ran my lights on the right side, I am right handed and shoot right handed so this is something I've never thought to be a problem myself
@Yankeeprepperasshat6 ай бұрын
@@dmaraschky1you can run it anywhere, but in my experience, it’s going to need a remote or be super awkward anywhere other than at 10:30. And when you’re looking for speed and don’t want to train hundreds of hours, it’s better to use a remote for vis/ir unit and thumb for flashlight. It’s just easier to wire the brain that way. And I think it’s always going to be faster times, going that route too.
