I recently purchased the bedliner and also the tailgate pad . I am installing the tailgate liner today....A great addition to protect our truck beds. The floor mats are awesome as well..They cover way more area inside my Tacoma.

that lasfit liner would go great after getting a sprayed in liner put in. The spray in liner protects all the bed paint and the bed mat helps protect against dents. Great combo they are together. Your wheel well humps are not protected.

I was thinking the same thing but after a spray in liner I’d like a laser cut rubber mat way softer on your knees and you get cushion and less sliding of your gear.

I think this is the answer!!

They make tailgate covers too. Not the company you use but others. They bolt on and make the tailgate smooth.

I have been looking at those. Lasfit told me they would make them for this truck, so I'm going to try and wait so i have a matching set. For now, im going to keep the hard plastic tailgate cover on it

what protects the wheel wells

@@YellowfinCoachMatt Hopes and dreams 😂 For someone that uses their truck bed harder than I do, a drop in liner may still be best. I have an older truck for scrap hauls, dirt loads, etc.

Will it fly away without a bed cover?
@gagefixeseverything27 күн бұрын
Nope! I too was worried about that. I drove with the bed cover off for several weeks before I put it back on. Didn't mention that in the video

@@gagefixeseverything I wondered what would happen if you drive at highway speeds with nothing in the bed to hold it down? So I'm thinking of using a few dabs of Lexel construction sealant around the edges (maybe 6 dabs about an inch long from a caulk gun), to keep the bed from flying up and away at 70mph.
@gagefixeseverything14 күн бұрын
@homearchitects7882 It has been fine for me. For all of my driving for the video, except transporting gift bags, I had the bed cover off or open so I could see if it moved. Never removed a bit!

I definitely would’ve left the tailgate liner on because now you have no protection at all on the tailgate.

I agree, and I did. After I had the tailgate naked for a day, I put the hard plastic one back on. At least until I replace that

What kind of bed cover is on the truck ? I would like to have a roll up type myself. It it any good and keeps the water out. The Lasfit mat looks good . Being as light as it seems to be, will it come flying out at 75mph is my only question?
@gagefixeseverything2 ай бұрын
It's the rough country roll up bed cover. The f-150 model is not as well sealed as the one I had on my Tundra. That one was excellent! I was also worried about the bed mat being lightweight and moving around, but it doesn't budge. I think it seals pretty well against the bed

Definitely will trap water. I want to see you drop a concrete block from over your head in bed..LOL You’ll be taking that liner in and out quite a few times during those 10 years with this type of liner. once a week for 10 years equals 500+ intervals.
@gagefixeseverything2 ай бұрын
100%^ agree with the concrete blocks scenario, but this is my light duty truck for hauling the family, golf cart, etc. I have other vehicles for work. The hard plastic full drop in is unbeatable when talking about max protection for sure. Water and things can get under the Lasfit mat, but I don't think it's nearly as big of a deal as the full drop in. For the people who use a bed cover, it's also a non issue i guess
