Finally! A video about the Lasko fan that actually informative. Still, after removing the outer guard/cover I still find it a nightmare to get it to realign and snap back on.

It's certainly not the easiest thing I've worked with.. Unfortunately these fans were designed with a focus on low-cost rather than ease of use..

Got the same fan in black I found the simplest way to just oil the fan is to remove the back of the fan cover and then the 4 screws that hold the motor housing together. You can carefully remove the rear of motor + stator and be able to drop some oil on the wicks. It finally was dry after 3+ years of daily work. Good video the modern laskos really hold up for the price

Excellent video of the cleaning & servicing repair of the Lasko 2425 Fan Jordan! Also, I just recently did a few (which I really did 5) test calls to my cabin from my grandparents' housephone (and I did use the phone camera that I would normally use). All 5 of them were on camera, just so you know. When I do upload the videos, however, if you want to, go ahead & watch my videos. Just wanted you to know - Aaron Dunn.

I've had my Lasko pedestal fan for several years now. I love that fan. It's on right now. Think about it like this: Were you a pilot, would you want your screws dull, the plate half-screwed on? The reason a fan operates correctly is because the owner maintains it.
@JordanU
@JordanU 4 жыл бұрын
There is some truth to that, though some of the stuff we have now is so cheap no amount of maintenance will keep it going properly.

I've got some questions and would like your opinion. First, how do you think this blade compares to some other blades that manufacturers and sellers, such as Pelonis, Optimus, or Lakewood use? And second, how do think that this blade compares to the 5-blade flower-petal design that Lasko uses, and to the older D-blade style?
@JordanU
@JordanU 5 жыл бұрын
I don't think this moves as much air as the larger, circular shaped blades do, but I was relatively impressed with the performance in terms of noise level.. It looked like it would be quite loud but its volume was satisfactory.. The petal blades, if made correctly, move far more air than this does.. The D blades were superior in terms of air volume moved, but the petal blades seemed to create a better velocity..

Now it won't work at all. I got the same one and it's been working for years. I just don't know what happened to hers.

My old school had a bunch of these. All of them moved a pitiful amount of air. If someone was more than two feet away from it, you couldn't even feel any air from them at all. I don't think the bladeset on these is very good.
@JordanU
@JordanU 4 жыл бұрын
I think the issue is more within the guard, it is extremely restrictive. Even the slightest amount of dust accumulation will block the majority of the air.
