You are a life saver We study this in high school which uses calculus And we only studied the basics of integrations and nothing else Thank you

Whats crazy is that i created a capacitor with my finger. We were adding a new circuit breaker in my house, theres two metal plates where you place the breaker, and i put my finger in between those two without physical contact and got shocked, not the smartest decision but it enlightened me, correct me if im wrong but i think i created a capacitor

+kungman190 e0 - stands for vacuum electric permittivity, becouse the dielectric permittivity of dielectric materials is defined by the equation e=E0/E where E0 is an electric field in vacuum and E is the field in some material created by same charge on the same distance, it is no difference what charge do you take. from that you can say thet the vacuum dielectric permittivity is 1=E0/E0. so there is no mistake, this equation is just written for the capacitors that have a vacuum between the plates...

How come sigma equals charge/area?

It's the charge density. So if you were working with only 2D, it would be Q/L I believe. Charge over length
