Lassie - Episode

Lassie finds a little runaway boy in the Miller's barn, and upon learning that he is an orphan that has run away from his aging guardians, the Millers decide to foster him into their family. NOTE: This is the first Timmy episode where his character is introduced into the series, and sets the stage for the eventual move from the Miller household to the Martin household. Both Clayton ("Ellen") and Rettig ("Jeff") were ready to leave the show by the end of Season 3, and after an audition of over 200 boys to play the part of the new character Timmy, 6 year old Jon Provost was selected. The death of George Cleveland ("Gramps") mid-season hastened the transition in introducing the Martin family, including Timmy, as the new owners of Lassie.
