I watched all of these episodes on tv every Sunday evening when I was a kid back in the late 50s and early sixties,iam 73 yrs of age,that cap that Timothy is wearing I had a red one just like it,they don't make too many nice family shows like this anymore, it brings back so many childhood memories,thank u very much 4 posting it.

Me too! We had a Collie named Skippy in the late sixties. And ever since then my family and children have loved our 3 Shelties ( smaller versions of a Collie ) same coloring as lassie! Beautiful, smart and well mannered dogs. All because of lassie. Best Sunday nights with Mom and Dad watching Lassie, Walt Disney and then Bonanza with home made pies and cakes. Dinner was always eaten early so we were allowed to gorge to ours hearts delight! I miss our parents and those happy days! Going on 70!

I loved watching Lassie growing up, I watched all of the movies including the one with Elizabeth Taylor when it got played on tv several times and others including the tv series it was always a favorite show to watch. Now we don’t even turn tv on for my 10 year old granddaughter it’s broken and we don’t fix it or buy a new one because it’s not worth it, there is nothing worth watching. We also went to the drive-in every weekend usually every Friday and Saturday. As long as we had nice weather, we even went when it started getting cold. I remember one theatre where they would use some kind of heaters you could put in the car. Those were the good old days. My mom and dad in their childhood went to the movies in theaters all the time because it wasn’t so expensive and my mom told about her grandmother got free dishes as a free handout. I think it was the Depression glass which used to sell for pretty high prices in antique stores then about 25 or 30 years ago. My parents didn’t have tv of course they listened to radio programs but I grew up in the 50’s and tv was great and very popular. I really don’t think it’s very popular now. I think they have destroyed the entertainment industry.
