Lassie - Episode

Part 3 of Ranger Corey and Lassie's adventures at NASA at the Kennedy Space Center.
While Ranger Corey is working on the final aspects of the space capsule parachute system, Lassie helps him rescue a wounded bald eagle. The countdown begins for the next rocket launch - which will fly first: the newly healed eagle, or the rocket? Lassie is betting on the eagle to fly first.
TRIVIA: This episode highlights the space program launching sequence, and it (again) is wonderful to look back a half century to the computers and programming ...and dreams...that helped move us off the planet into space. We also get to meet one of the principle actors that will soon become a huge part of Lassie's future life with the US Forest Service.
