Lassiter vs Puckett 1 of 3

By request, from 1984, this is Luther "Whimpy" Lassiter against U.J. Puckett. While not the most colorful match of this series, there is some great shotmaking prowess on display from a couple of class acts.

UJ taught me one pocket. Now that was not a free lesson but well worth the price. UJ was a regular at the pool hall I use to shoot at in Texas. A great guy.

@MurderMafia I appreciate your expressions of appreciation for being able to watch such collection of masters! It was, indeed, an extraordinary event to have such legends compete together! Parts 2 & 3 uploading now. I will get more matches from the event posted as I can work them in. I only wish I had the year prior to this one when Mr. Mosconi competed. He was true poetry in motion!

Hey Lucky, you got a new subscriber and I hope that you can upload more of these classic matches soon. It's a pitty that Mosconi doesn't compete in this one because it would have been nice to watch some of his games, especially sincere there is very little if any video footage of Willie Mosconi during his prime shooting straight pool. Thank you once again for uploading these and please keep 'em comin' :)
