It was brave of you to decide to video your last days, without coffee, I appreciate how you share the realities of life! Wow, what a supportive and handy husband, envious! Organised as usual, I hope your family can sort the rest for you quickly! Your statement 'the last day in England' was very emphatic! Now breathe, eat, sleep, dream! 😌💞

Haha I think it's good for us to look back on and remember it as it was instead of the highlight reel our brain usually tells to spare us the details. It's been a lot to deal with that's for sure, but I'm always so sure there's a reason for the lot of it and we'll understand it better at some point in the future. Right now we're here and it feels really lovely (even with the jetlag really getting to me today!) xx

@mariatateofficial I agree, it's important to record those sort of family moments, and remember! Don't worry about what you cannot fix today, your health and the kids comfort are more important! Later! Act like a tourist and have some fun (and afternoon siestas)! 🤗

Yeah same issue here when you sell your house you have to meet regulations like (power box safety switches are up to modern regs) often the buyer will insist on a certified building inspection report in the sale contract to make sure the house is within "building code specs" before settlement and any major issues that may arise can be addressed by the seller before settlement. Same as when you go to rent a property. Take tons of pics and any prior damage of things broken and the condtion of gardens and lawns are clear via pics for when it comes time to vacate. Especially condition of carpets, floor covering, tiles, bench tops, cupboard doors, door handles, taps, sinks, wall paint any chips or scratches, picture frame hooks in walls, window sills, window treatments ie curtains etc, laminate bench tops, light fittings, switches, all taps are not dripping and toilets are functioning properly. You would be amazed how tenants get caught out losing their bond or a fair chunk of it because they never had evidence of prior wear & tear and it was not listed on the property report apon moving in. You have arrived during an extreme heatwave (worse we have had in a while) which will last a week (Hot air coming in from inland and no cool sea-breeze to blow it away) but hopefully after a week things will return to normal. Best time to make use of the beaches or swimming pools or major shopping centres like Karrinyup, Whitfords, Joondalup etc as i think your moving to northern suburbs up Yanchep way in due course. I suppose you will confirm that in your next long version vid. Your staying near the WACA cricket ground so so perhaps catch an uber to Beatty Park Leisure Centre (huge public swimming complex) which is not far away for a fun day out in the water. Best time to be out and about strolling around is early morning and evening just after the sun goes down - enjoy

guyss 🤣🤣 everyone is so concerned about the snacks - nothing that we took was on the restricted list on the form so I didn't have to declare anything that we brought with us. They didn't ask us when we handed over our passports, they didn't check anything..we literally walked through in all of 5 minutes and got our taxi. No need to be worried about the snack boxes or dried food we took with us haha. Noodles, crackers and kids biscuits are not a hazard to Australia. The only thing the form prompted me to tell them about was the kids Calpol medicine that we brought with us, and even then they said 'oh that's fine because it's not prescription'. It was a breeze!

Remember to declare food that you have with you on your entry passes before you get to border control when you land in Perth. You probably remember that card your given just before landing when you went to Sydney, its important that you fill them in correctly. You just need to declare what you have as per the entry cards. Enjoy the journey for your family in Australia.

The kids have really struggled if they've had to walk more than 10 mins in it, so that was hard at first! But since we've got our smartrider cards it's been so much easier. To be honest, today we just stayed in until later in the afternoon and then went to the park for about 30 mins before coming home for icy poles haha

@@mariatateofficial yeah being outside when it's high 30's or more ain't much fun. Be good to see a video now that you're starting to find your feet a bit. How are you going for a car or such to buy?

Did you check the prohibited goods list for Australia. Make sure you have no fruits or vegetables, medicines or drugs. Some drugs like blood pressure, heart drugs etc require a doctors letter along with the prescription. There's a few other things but Border Force will pick you up on that. Oh and it's 35C or 94F in Perth, I think the hottest is Thargominda in Queensland where it's 42C or 107F. Bit of a heatwave at the moment but it's all good. Have a great trip and we'll hear from you when you land.

hahaha, honestly, everyone who moves to Australia uses them. It's like an unspoken rule in the 'Moving to Australia' Facebook groups that people use them. I actually think if I did it again, I'd have just gotten 4 more suitcases like one of the others we used because it fit about 15kg more!

I wouldn't pack any foods to bring into Australia....Customs will allow you to keep that thats not on the banned list.you have to declare it, if not huge fines. Seriously it's not worth it. Definitely DONT bring in food, nuts, fruit, seeds or any plant materials. VERY STRICT.
