Amita agar sach bol deti ki main ek mahena late aungi tho better hota. Amita ke wajah se Didi bhe chali gayi. I felt didi was sincere and genuine. Amita ki galt adat ko badawa mat do. Yes absolutely true. Don’t over do for them ever. It’s their job and they are being paid for it. My personal experience is the same. My full time helps .. have done the same always.. bahana bana kr jab mann aaya chod kr bhaag jaati hai and I have suffered a lot.. now I don’t have any empathy for them. Kaam karo aur paisa lo.. that’s it.

Sambhavna ji, you spoke my heart out. Exactly same thing i am going through. My husband is paralysed. We hv a caretaker called ramu since last 2 yrs. Lk every year this time also he went to his native on feb 22nd, saying 10 din me aa jaunga. He was lk son to me. My son got married in December, we gave him all the new cloths lk us only. We had a theme outfits. He was also a part of it. I can't tell you...what not we hv done for him. Then after 10 days, he didn't call or msg. We called he answered after several calls, saying yaha network nahi hai. Now he is saying wo nahi aa sakta. I don't mind if he want to discontinue...we can't force anybody to work. What bad i felt was...he didn't inform us. 3/4 baar 2 din me aa raha hu kehke latkaya....fir communication bandh. You said it correct, inko family member kabhi nahi banana chahiye. Wo jo hai unko wohi rehne dena chahiye. I totally can understand your situation.

My recommendation would be for house work Jadu pocha kapde local locality maid should be kept, who lives near home. Then one person who can come in morning and go by evening should be kept so that even when you are not there dogs can manage by themselves at night. On top of all this if you get a live in person like Amita should be used for only cooking and taking care of house like a security should be used. This way dependency on live in person would be less. Should ensure that regular maid and regular dog care person on duty morning 8 to evening 8 should be from local locality

Also, like I had told you earlier that she left her suitcase in Village last time only. Amita has crossed all limits. Dont let her come back and have some genuine enforcements. I would recommend aap dono milke Amiyaa app pe week ke meals plan karo. And do some pre preparation like making tomato purée, boiling aloos, soaking dals etc which will help during the actual preparation. Also Avinash if you cannot cook, you can help with other cutting, chopping and making tea/coffee tasks. My husband was like you in India completely far from any house duties and now in Europe he has slowly started learning and contributing. Honestly it’s not just Sambhavanas job to do all the cooking and planning 😊

I am not exaggerating a bit. I have faced such kind of behaviour from maids several times. No matter how much you do for them, they don’t think twice before leaving. They will lie and cook up stories. My maid took leave for 5 days and never returned. Before going on leave, she gave assurance that she will come back but actually she planed not to return. We treated her like a family but she left us when we needed her the most. Like you guys, we were also extremely hurt and resolve not to be too cordial and friendly with the any maid henceforth.

Sam and Avi , i totally understand your hurt . i have gone through the same several times .Being from a family with 3 kids and 3 pets always kept live in help ...when we could afford only 1 we kept 1 ...now i have 4 all girls from jharkand ...the ammount i do for them i know and i can understand from your behavior how well you look after them . they have no one in BANGALORE...so i send all 4 every 2 months on a staycation ...book rhem a guest house so that they get a break from work. Get them clothes on every festival and their birthdays. Give them a raise without asking .YET the one i loved and trusted most as my own child ....went home ...saying she is getting married...actually she was already married and i git to know from all other helps thar she was already married !!!! i bought her sooo much stuff for her wedding ...even then she never said anytning ....THE SAD PART IS THAT SUCH PEOPLE KILL THE FEELING OF EMPATHY IN US ....WE FEEL CHEATED AND CAN NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN !!! I will be a bad and many of u dislike my comment , to be honest we feel petty about maid and people below poverty line and try to built a flexible relation with them, try to help them as much as we can , I personally did for my maid too and she did exactly same , hum Khud bhi bechare hain , hum bhi apni family chhod ke kaam karne bahar cities mein jaate hain, mehnat karte hain tabhi paisa milta hai, par janha hum maid ko dekhte hain wanha bechara feel karte hain unke liye, it is the gap of mentality and the way they have been raised, hum ek baar phir bhi family samajhne lagenge par wo nahi samjhenge.in short sambhavna ma’am they don’t have same heart as us. Eggs and poha( we call it chuira) is a great combination. When I was small, my mother used to make her special dish aanda pizza(egg pizza) by mixing chuira(poha), eggs, onions, coriander, and spices and cooking it by putting oil in a pan and closing the lid and flipping it over and serve with ketchup. It was the tastiest lunch ever ❤❤❤

Sam....no more Amita.....there are many agencies to give you,24 hrs helpers. If they go, for even a few days on leave..the agency provides a replacement. All this for a month commission.

Sambhavna you are absolutely right, bcoz I have also gone through the same and we know how they behave despite of the fact you have not done anything wrong to them. Aap unhone extra hi krte h (i have done the same) still at the end they do like this which is hurting as a person (human heart). And please don't think much about amita bcoz they don't deserve your energy when they themself dont want (like she is behaving not answering phone, cutting the call) you enjou your life stress free and absolutely dont think anythinh bcoz YOU & AVINASH HAVE DONE 100% RIGHT. To those who are criticising Sam and Avi for disclosing the entire fiasco created by Amita, may you never have to face such situation. Amita left these guys at a point when they needed her the most. She knew it all very well and left anyway. It doesn’t matter that she’s a poor woman who left her village to earn a livelihood. What’s wrong will remain so, regardless of someone’s financial or social status. It’s women like Amita because of whom many others, who are genuine and in dire need of financial assistance, can’t be trusted. Whatever she did, I believe everyone should know about it, so that people can handle such issues appropriately. It’s so disheartening that despite doing everything for her, Sam and Avi had to go through all of it. Everyone has to work to support themselves, irrespective of their background. Amita’s workload was usual, nothing major. She was getting paid for it, Sam and Avi were not forcing her to work for free or exploiting her in any manner. Leaving on the false promise of returning in a few days, not answering calls, lying, etc. will never get her any work in future, especially in metro cities. She’s lost out on a lot of opportunities, and serves her right.
