My 65 year old grandma got one of theese calls. She trolled them for half an hour and then said that she works in the police department. It was hilarious to see the scammers reaction. (I was there but she handled it perfectly by herself, thanks to your videos. You're a legend)

20 yrs ago, fresh out of college, I worked for one of the first companies that set up call centers in India under the Clinton administration's outsourcing law change. They were still very frank back then in the two US offices about how they trained up staff in India: gave them a list of English names telling them to pick one they could pronounce the easiest and showing them episodes of Friends in training sessions to teach them american idioms. Pretty sad that those early centers for cheaper labor devolved into scamming.

I work in retail and recently saved an elderly gentleman $400 by pointing out that the person he had on speaker phone was trying to scam him!! The person on the line kept saying "No, no! Don't listen to her!!", until I suggested that he hang up and call the police!! Then, the scammer was quick to hang up!! Keep doing what you're doing so that people are more suspicious of these kind of calls.

Most of the time I hate when scambaiters reveal, but he does it so well that it's hilarious; the subtle hints that he understands what they're saying, or going off on a seemingly innocuous tangent (so their guard is lowered) that ends with him talking about something local to them in their immediate area and hearing their reactions to that lol. I show all your videos to my elderly mother so she knows how to protect herself. One scammer still got thru to her and she was on her way to buy a gift card for 500$. I just happened to call at the same time she was on the road. My dad who is 89 told me she was shopping and that their FPL bill was being cut off. Luckily I caught her before she got to the store. I never get scam calls/texts but just a couple days ago got a call from ‘Norton’, I was in too much pain (I have chronic pain) to be bothered trolling them, plus I wanted to try this out, so I just said ‘Kitboga’ & there was a 2 second pause, then he hang up. There are 100s of American companies outsourcing their customer support jobs to Indians instead of giving jobs to own citizens...and 100s are registering daily...why don't you protest against your lawmakers against it...Indian citizens are suffering due to this...Indian citizens are getting scammed 1000s time more than any other country due to these scammers...what do you think how are they so good in scamming? You guys are completely awesome. There aren’t enough positive adjectives to touch on how much this means to me and this community. I’ve been scammed. It was a local scam. They were good but still assholes. My family has almost been scammed but they caught on. It’s so frustrating that there’s really nothing I could do besides file a police report and contact the local company who the scammers imitated just to let them know. Watching you go after these people gives me hope. I will certainly do anything I can to help when funds become better. It’s rough right now but working on it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! 🙏💕

My mum was scammed just a couple days ago after receiving an, “Evri: missed delivery charge,” notification. She clicked and paid a few pounds, realised she’d been scammed and her parcel turned up a few hours later. I’ve passed your channel on to her! A friend got a letter from "McAfee" that it was time to renew at a high price. He has Norton but thought they were the same. He called and wanted to cancel. After having installed anydesk he got pressured to provide his cell phone number. He got a funny feeling and decided to hang up on the call. Since then he has gotten 800 emails and dozens of cell phone calls. He has answered none of them but they were persistent.

Over the last year, we received about 10 calls claiming we owed Amazon varying amounts of money for: a laptop, a TV, a microwave oven, another laptop, etc. Of course, we didn't bite. Also got a few emails basically saying the same thing. The old Nigerian Prince attempt is still a classic email scam.

@Celeste Tudu yes, there are just a few offices that run these scams .. I'd say 97% of the offices are legit.. unfortunately the 3% would give a bad name to the building. Most of these scam centres operate at night due to the time difference with US (their main targets), hence they go unnoticed as most offices are closed during these hours
