Lake Norman has good spotted bass fishin'. I caught a 3.64 lb spot on lunch break last week behind a client's house we're rebuilding. I also caught a flathead catfish there last week, a bunch of big bluegills, and my buddies caught channel cats and white bass. All during breaks from one dock. So if you're close enough and have a boat you should try it. There's a lot of different types of habitat with open water, back bays, rock lines, and docks in deep and shallow water. I'd fish there more if I wasn't moving.
