I love those photo keepers! It would be a cool idea to have task cards for each month and store them in a large ziplock baggie when they’re not being used and labeled for example “January Task Cards”, that way you could do more seasonal or themed ones ☺️

I'm taking notes from your setup vids lol, I like the subtle incorporation of plants. I will have to get some for my room and post an updated room tour! You can see from my current room tour I am attempting the plant theme with plant wall decals and fake vines, but nothing beats the real thing! If you ever want to make your screen be bigger on your SmartBoard, if you press the ASPECT button on the projector remote and make sure it is the 4:3 or Full and it'll fill the whole smart board!

Love how your classroom turned out! Just one thing though, the bins with the extra books on the floor are very close under where you grab paper towels so there is a good chance they are going to get wet there or contaminated from the trash bin. I never comment on videos, but when I saw that I was like oh no the books! lol

As you were showcasing your task card idea, I was wondering if it would be easier to just label each box with a number. On the outside of the big white container you could then label what is in each numbered box. Just so the kids aren’t digging through it and it’s a more organized system. I do love that idea!! Very smart!!☺️

I came here to mention this! I have numbered hanging files for my students that they put all their take home work in. The kids are not always gentle when filing but the tabs stayed put all year. When I saw you stapling I thought you were doing it to make them extra sturdy. I thought “hmm, I wonder if I should do that?” 😂

I love what you have done so far. Just a couple of things. You have way to much clutter on your walls. Remember, cluttered areas make cluttered minds. Sit in a couple of different areas and check the room visually. Young children need to be able to filter through everything around them. They also have a shorter attention span than older kids. Take at least 50% of the papers off around the mirror and change them regularly Instead of putting it all out at once. Downsize your hand washing area. I love your ideas! It just needs a bit of polishing. Good luck!!!!

You could have made your welcome to 2nd grade picture a globe with welcome to 2nd grade written on it. Then if its hanging, the kids could stand under it with their hands like they are holding the globe above them. Then the pictures you take would match your bulletin board outside of the classroom. The world is in great hands!
