Well today was our very last day of day care for 2021 and it was great to end it on Small Dog Day.
We celebrated Harry the Bichon’s birthday this morning. Harry had a birthday sleepover last night and this morning had a yummy birthday brekky cake. He loved it. Happy happy birthday Harry! Also a very big thank you to Harry’s mum who hand made us a beautiful gingerbread house that came up with Harry last night, thank you thank you ❤️
Also thanks to Byron, David, Ellie and and Luna’s families for the generous gifts for everyone at the farm. Thank you!
It was a rainy day at the farm, so the bus drove up into the house yard and we went straight into a bush walk this morning. The small dogs love a bush walk. There’s lots of little hunters in our small pack so running through the bush with all its smells is a favourite.
We headed towards the big paddock for a game of big ball herding and also to meet up with the rescue pups for the small dogs first meet. I’ll post a separate video of this shortly.
In the pool, we heated it up early this morning so it would be nice and comfortable for the small dogs today. Zeus, Frankie and Albert were our little divers today and boy were they impressive.
The rescue pups went for a dip and as each one finished their swim they came to sit on Aunty Sam’s lap. 1,2,3 … I cannot complain!
At the end of the day all the doggies were asleep on their beds in the bus after a big day. We were sad to say goodbye to Minnie, Ariel, Lola and Princess. They were here for their Christmas holidays but sadly were cancelled due to the current COVID climate. Their poor family are devastated and we hope for them that will be able to make their Christmas holidays come true at a slightly later date.
After the bus leaves it’s time to check in on Shadow and her pups. The other pups and all our holiday doggies. Christmas Eve tomorrow and we’re all, two and four legged, very very excited about Christmas!
