Last Epoch 1.1 Mana Lightning Sorcerer Early Build Guide (Extensive Time Stamps)

Hey guys, this is my Mana Lightning Sorcerer. While I am planning on using this build for Cycle 2, there will be changes as I fine tune it and push the build to its limits. Only cast Meteor after you cast teleport. This will give you tons of free mana regen.
Loot Filters:
I had to split my loot filter up as it only allows 75 rules. I didnt want to compromise the filter by dumbing it down. Use the leveling filter until most of your gear is exalted/uniques. I plan to switch around lv 70-80.

Loaf, PLEASE when you get time, do a build guide with the other build you decided to go with instead of this one. (The Rogue Build) I know you mentioned that it's a boss killer and that's the build that many of us would love to see. Also. Keep up the great guides! I started running this one, but once I saw that you quickly switched to a Rogue build I lost confidence in this build lol. Hopefully this will still get me through the campaign okay still while waiting for your other guide. I had to start late due to computer issues.

I got to 200 corruption in the first day on this build so it definitely smashes the campaign just fine. Main issue was some last minute changes EHG made to the build that made it a lot more gear intensive for bossing. I hope to make an update on the direction to go tomorrow. I am also planning on making the rogue build guide soon.

Nice video. Was hoping to find something like this because I really dislike the feel of Meteor and that seemed to be the go-to skill for doing mana stacking Sorc in 1.1... One question I have, and maybe I missed you talking about it in the video, but any estimate of how long you will be staying on the Glacier build? Like is there a level you have in mind, or maybe a specific point in gear progression where you think transitioning will be a good idea? Maybe once you have the wand since a lot of utility and power is gated behind it?

After my practice runs I’m probably gonna switch once I have wand and offhand. I almost always got both before level 65. Wand helps it feel smooth and offhand helps clear so much.

Thank you for the build guide ! If I have doubts about focus being too clunky, do you think switching to manastrike is viable ? It scales with max mana, has some sort of "oom" bonus, spark charges generation ... What do you think ?

if it were me, id probably switch to teleport meteor since mana strike doesnt give a lot of mana back even with negative set up. My goal late game is to drop focus all together though.

Does pathing to the fire ward lightning conversion node net us a point because of +lightning skills, or does it not work that way?

You are 100% correct and was an oversight by myself. Im so used to building Flame Ward a certain way and its rare you can +4 levels to a generic element. That will give us a little more damage to mana and 50% increased lightninging damage. Thank you for the catch!

Yeah I'm having a hard time choosing between the two builds. I'm probably gonna stick to meteor at the start and be checking Loaf's stream to see if static orb feels better or not

Yeah they made some changes a day or two before the patch went live that made it much more gear intensive. If you look up fubgun, he made a bossing version that’s working pretty well. I’m hoping to make an update video tomorrow on my day off. Sorry for the issues, I did not expect them to make changes so close to launch. Threw me for a loop too.

You can also click on his twitch stream link in the video and watch his first day of the cycle video. He made it all the way up to corruption 200 with no problem. Maybe by watching that you can see what you might be doing wrong.

Sorry If I missed it in the video, but how much ward do you think it can generate consiistently? Like 5k? 10k?

I dont think im supposed to share specifics like that but I can show math based on what patch notes included. Just from the lost knowledge node with 1k mana(super low) you get 333 ward per cast. Stacking int we will have a bunch of retention and ward decay threshold. It wont be like the old days with the ward nerfs but it will def be very cozy and one of the tankier builds.

Really irks me that rings with 5 dead lines are BIS. Are there any chance a well rolled Julra's with +2LP could compete, or is the base crit just too valuable?

They are just gonna be super easy to get. Gear this cycle is going to be insane so I made this very conservative. If you get a couple crazy crit pieces, you can drop the rings for probably a red ring of atlaria or the weaver rings with gold rolls. Julra is good too.

You can use this pretty early however I plan on waiting until I have the enigma offhand and the wand. Glacier gear is almost the same and it will be faster for me until I get those items.

Yes, all new content besides the pinnacle boss will be valuable on launch. Once the first kill happens on cycle, the pinnacle boss will be available everywhere.

I guess that depends on which spark charge sorc. If you’re asking glacier vs this one, I think glacier will be easier to gear however it will have less damage at higher end gear.

You could still use the Runemaster Guide : there is a "How to lvl" - section. The game is still easy with this.

If you look at all my other videos I always add gameplay if it’s possible. This build was using passives and new uniques that were not in the game yet. EHG does not allow me to use footage from the test servers.

@@taven2164 I’d recommend coming by the stream while I’m playing. I use both meteor and glacier early on. I can make meteor give me all my mana back for more glaciers.

Seeing absurd merchant builds really just puts us down. 99% of followers will be stuck in the mud a few miles behind that, not really caring about ineffective superminmax strategies that only really is about fixing that last 1% effectiveness. Most will be struggling with getting the LP uniques for a few hundred hours of SSF while seeing their favorite streamer just buying the best items off market. Really prefer the content about how to get to the endgame.

This is honestly super conservative gear. The new league mechanic will shower you with legendary potential uniques and even already slammed legendary gear. Last season I played solo 99% of the time and in CoF. I normally tailor my content to new players and help them learn how to acquire this gear.

you do realize that he's showing last epoch tools page and not his actual ingame character. he's showing his end game vision of what the character will be. If you bothered watching the vid or reading the description, there's a linker leveling guide up to level 60 using blues and yellows as leveling gears. The new seasonal mechanic gives you legendary drops. managed to get frozen ire, snowblind and snow drift before hitting 40, been 1 shotting monsters in the first mono with glaciers.

I completely understand that. This is however a new build that can only function with the newly reworked passives and uniques being added in 1.1. They do not let me use any footage from the test servers. I’d recommend dropping by the stream on July 9th to see some early footage.
