@barsnack7999 my dude, the dev team is from 11 to 50 people.... and they've created this SO FAR. IDK what animations you're referring to, but IMO, the only one I have seen that always bugged me a little is some characters running animations. But I really only enjoy playing mages, necros, or shapeshifters, and all the animations I've played with for those have been solid. Also, unless they've stated somewhere that they won't ever be looking into updating animations, I wouldn't completely write it off just yet. At last, I think with the upcoming full release of the game prioritizing QoL, bug fixes, server stability, etc etc would be higher up on the list. Don't get me wrong, I love dope animations, but to call these "utter dogshit" seems way way off. 🤔

Seasons are only optional reset though. Just like in poe or d4, you may still continue a character After the season ends. LE des also announcements the first Season will probably not be as disruptive as for example poe since they still work on the base frame. Only later will huge League content Release that would incentivise you to "only" play League.

True. Even if d4 isn't the best showing blizzards had, it definitely has strong potential if they just keep decent content and QoL improvements incoming. PoE is already amazing although a bit dated in combat etc. PoE2 looks to be just as amazing at least and modern combat. Last epoch is a fun middle ground. Grim dawn to fill in niches, and d2r is a solid remaster. I've had a ball as an arpg fan after a very long drought, and it's looking like it's still going up from here.

@@Tolandruth I'd agree d4 atm isn't good as an arpg, however the engine and gameplay is actually solid. The boss design, the systems, the endgame, the stash, etc all suck. However the core system and fighting are Smooth. It's easier to fix those than it is to redo the whole engine. Thus why I say it has potential.

@@Tolandruth yeah, that's why it's potential, and not a guarantee or already good. Just to be clear here I don't own d4 currently. Returned it in less than 48 hours of trying it... however its a little disingenuous to say it doesn't have potential to be good eventually. It relies on blizzard making use of it, but all I'm saying is the potential is there. Whether it is capitalized on remains to be seen. Edit: actually maybe it was that I never bought it and just tried the alpha test... I don't really remember which route I went Tbh, all I know is I don't own it atm.

7/10 imo when we ignore the choppy character animations and Orobyss overexplaining everything & indirectly telling how to beat him like a typical James Bond cliche villian. Less talking and building tension/hype only with scenery would be a better fit for a launch trailer. Dont overexplain it and let the players discover the game themself.
