Still looks pretty meh compared to it's competition, but that's to be expected. This is supposed to be a FUN game first instead of a well polished turd like D4. Edit: Quit pinging me with the same dumb replies. I love this game just as much as you, but I'm not deluded enough to think this game looks better than every other ARPG visually. You can be a fanboy and accept reality. All that matters for actual gamers is how it plays anyways.

"Powerful crafting" is such a fucking understatement. Last Epoch has one of the best crafting systems I've ever seen. The system itself is innovative and fun, and the items you craft are BiS items you will ACTUALLY USE in your build. None of that infinite salvaging for resources you'll never use. You craft items because you WANT to craft/equip them. Chef's kiss, Eleventh Hour Games.

For real, I'm super impressed, feels like the game was made by 500 IQ ARPG experts, I can see all the influence from D2 (itemization), D3 (skill runes expanded into skill specializations), PoE (crafting), Grim Dawn (combining masteries, passive trees), plus some unique innovations, all applied in a very smart way instead of "remember when D2 did this?". Everything to do with the core systems is top tier. It's too bad the game feels a bit lower budget and not as polished, but I think it's amazing at getting the core stuff right.

@@Oblivious.AmnesiaNo real fancy cinematics, the effects are a bit lackluster in comparison to other flashier games, voice acting (if it's there it's not memorable), some UI/interaction choice feels slightly clunky or low-res. That's a few that immediately comes to mind for someone who's played it on and off since it was like 15 or 20 dollars EA. By no means is this a "don't play" comment as I will be playing it on the 21st, but more of a know what you are getting into and keep your expectation tempered comment.

I agree the trailer music is epic. But don’t raise your hope for the in-game music… IMO it’s the worst part of the game. I had to turn it off 20 minutes in, and I tried turning it back on many times but ultimately decided it’s better staying off. The ambiance sound, on the other hand, is amazing. Very well made. (And the game itself is absolutely great, no question about that at all.)

​@@martinwinter615 Yeah it's very cool, the initial team was like 5 members, all people who loved ARPGs and wanted to make their own version. The small initial team is why they focused on making great gameplay and features to start with, and that's why Classes are currently locked to female/male (this is due to change though!) Then i think about 2-ish years ago they got a huge funding boost due to the early success of sales, and now the team is upto 70 something. So recent patches and of course 1.0 have major gfx improvements as they've had to resources to put into them. I'm glad they went gameplay first, i'd rather play a poop looking game with fantastic gameplay and a glittery turd (d4)

First "beat" early access a few years ago after around 70 hours. I was impressed back then and recommended the game to all my friends that it was something to keep an eye on, as more polish and content would really make this game shine. Honestly, IDK where you found enough content in D4 to still be playing it lmao. LE is a super good ARPG, dare I say the best overall experience you can have with an ARPG. You feel OP, cool, and engaged from the first 2min of the game, and it only gets better IMO.@@padcontrol1

Remember guys, the hype for this game is immense. EXPECT issues at launch and DO NOT bombard the reviews of the game. The devs are genuine with this game and will fix whatever issues that will arrive at launch. I've played this game for years and the game is a masterpiece and the devs are comparable to GGG.

Take D4 and PoE and meet in the middle in terms of difficulty. The depth of PoE without the complexity, the crafting is meaningful and mandatory, the skill customization is strong, and you aren't punished for trying different things. I'll honestly never look at a build guide. Nearly everything is viable for something. The end game is a bit lacking but it's a new game. It'll develop over time.

@@pelepoporo5251 the second immortal came out and they straight up insulted their entire fanbase in public on stage and there were no actual repercussions for it i knew every game after would be utter garbage. asmongold is one of the biggest problems with immortals success as well as he is a massive influence for blizzards games and he paid a bunch of money on it which would obviously influence others to do the same which resulted in the game making them more money than any other. he obviously isnt the only cause but hes one of the biggest. he can make any content he wants but if hes going to support blizzards garbage then he has no right to bitch about them continuing to pump out garbage. but anyway yeah anyone that is surprised that blizzard stopped trying after they realized they could insult everyone to their faces and still make more money than if there were respectful to them then they are morons.

But for those of us that don't want to feel like "Oh no ... I wanted a Minion Master and I picked Lich!" ... Guides are helpful ... Granted you'd have to be pretty dumb not to READ all your choices before you can't UNSPEC from your Mastery... There are many ways to play ... Blind ... with Guides... Solo, with friends... You can Use a Guide and go "Ya know what? I don't like this choice, I want to experiment"

I just tested full offline mode for this game. Despite Steam's warning that the progress might be saved in full offline mode -- it seems the warning is completely wrong. EHG *DID* implement full offline mode. Very nice. Very nice, indeed. : )
