Last Footage From Gorilla Lope's Bachelor Pad At Twycross Zoo 2/2

This is the final footage of Gorilla Lope at his bachelor pad at Twycross Zoo before his relocation. Gorilla Lope is standing, gazing to spot the tortoises. I wonder if he misses them at his new residence. Probably not he would have far more important and more exciting things to deal with.
He is scouring the floor for seeds amidst the wood shavings; it's not an easy task. He assembles all the shavings, clasps them in his hand, and proceeds to blow off the wood shavings, leaving him with the seeds. A close-up captures his fingers picking up some seeds.
Later, he munches on the leaves, which he strips off the branch.
This was the final full video I made of Lope in his bachelor pad. He has now moved to a new troop. Unfortunately, I still don't know anymore, as soon as I do I will update everyone on his progress in his new home.
He leaves a great big hole on my visits to Twycross Zoo and I miss him dearly.

Lope and all of his family has become a part of my life especially when I went thru a very scary COVID hospitalization and long recovery in April 2020. The family brought me joy way before that but going thru life threatening situations, they helped me in man6 ways as did you SV. So it’s with many mixed feelings seeing Lope leave us. It's so strange to not know where or how Lope is. That delightful guy has found a home in many hearts. It saddens me to think that he is probably still in isolation at his new home. Lope needs companionship. I'm praying that he makes new friends and has a long and happy life. ❤

Hello sloggervlogger. Looks like Lope gave you a cheeky smile. It was very sad to see his empty batchelor pad last week. He had only been living in it a few weeks and it already seemed lost without him. I hope they appreciate what a special character they have in his new home.

I think Oumbi has given up on Asante for the time being as she's really not interested. Oumbi does chase after Ozala a lot though and I saw them mating a few times a few months back, but she might be still on contraceptive as they don't want her to have any more babies right now.

I just find it so strange that there's been no information released by Twycross as to Lope's new home. Why the secrecy? Here in the states, zoos getting new gorillas usually makes the evening news, and the zoos issue press releases...they want people amped up and wanting to come visit. This whole thing seems so odd.

Yes exactly my thought. It really does not make any sense to me. Even the French zoo ( if it is the zoo we're thinking it is) they announced when the new Silverback has arrived, but nothing about Lope.
