Throwback Compilation Gorilla Brothers Lope And Shufai

A Happy Birthday today for Biddy, the grandma of these two boys. She's 48 today! Also Jambo's Mother Coco is a 55 today.
A special edition video with extra length. A compilation of some great old clips from the Gorilla Brothers Lope and Shufai from over the Years since I have known the gorillas from the Twycross Zoo.
I first saw Lope in 2016 and you couldn't help but fall in love with the little rascal straight away.
The first clip says everything about his character, trying to get a reaction from dad, the Silverback Oumbi. He started his upright walk early, which he still does now with his cool swagger. Then there were the belly flops and the rolls down the slope. Then the day came when Lope wasn't the only child anymore. Baby Shufai was born ( 24th Sep 2016) . Lope was really jealous and always tried to get close to his baby brother, but his mum Ozala wasn't having any of it. She protected the little one 24/7. Just look at baby Shufai in mum's arms, such a cutie. If anybody things mum looks miserable, give her some slack, she put up with a hell of a lot from Lope lol.
Lope tries his best to get to his little brother. He succeeded a few times when he snatched Shufai and dragged him on one arm before their mum could react. When Shufai started to walk, Lope surprised us with some very gentle and heartwarming moments. Of course, it didn't last there was still some hair-raising moments, but all in all those two are great brothers. Shufai grew up quickly and he learned a lot from his brother and now we got two gorilla rascals. Just typical brothers. They love to wrestle, chase and beat their chest at each other.

Lope and Shufai are blessed to have each other 💓💓 the have so much fun and are lucky to have a good amount space to run about and be rambunctious. I will forever love Lope. His playfulness his upright walking and his rolling down the grass. I love his playfulness. Hard to imagine Lope as a Silverback as it seems all they do is sit and watch out for any threats to their family. An important job of course, but what is life without Lope annoying another gorilla??? ♥️🦍

Is that a smile on Da’s face as lope hams it up and tests boundaries ( 0:15) ? Children will be children regardless of great ape type, and I love it. The silverback is thinking “I love this little annoying punk of mine”. Otherwise he would just rip him to pieces
