Okay... My mouth literally fell open when you showed the sarcophagus! I love it so much! *immediately runs to the nearest theatre*

I'm into knitting socks lately, I do colour work to use up my scraps and 50gr balls so streamline my sock yarn. (And to remind myself I don't need to buy more, 2-3 kg is more than enough!) I have a big dresser in my living room, dedicated mostly to my crafts. Behind one door are my board games and the ever growing mending pile. Behind the other is my sock yarn, the crafting paper, embroidery floss and the box with buttons and random handy knick knacks that I "will definitely use one day"😅 In the drawers is the rest of my yarn, vaguely sorted by weight and purpose.

I've got tickets for Nosferatu on Wednesday so we'll see if they have the popcorn tin where I am! Love a good little funky storage object. I'm working on the Liedags Seashore Sweater by Linda Skuja. My first pullover!! It's actually a lot easier than I thought it would be, though I've only got a front panel so far. Maybe it'll end up being a part of Finish It February as well 😅

I'm working on a Rib Welt Cowl by SweaterFreak - simple enough to knit in the car or during the obligatory family holiday gatherings, yet engaging enough I don't get bored. Would definitely be lovely in black. 😉

I have the same box for my crochet hooks! Possibly the best purchase I have made for storage in awhile. I'm so jealous you were able to find the sarcophagus! My theater didn't have it but I noticed you can preorder it on the production company's website, so I might just give in haha.

I just finished The Moonlit Romp sweater by Vanessa Ewing in black and gold and am currently working a no name ribbed pullover and a pair of socks. I find having a couple projects going that are on different sized needles that I can switch back and forth helps to ease the cramping I get (oddly, only in my left hand). I store all my wool yarn in zip lock bags and then in a couple of black nylon shopping bags which hang on my over the door hooks. I try not to buy more than will fit in them. My current projects, needles, and all other accoutrements reside in a black quilted True Religion bag that I paid way too much for but just had to have which is a great grab and go item. Can’t wait to see your progress on your current sweater although seeing knitting in black yarn is always a challenge. Love the popcorn box. You have a great New Year.😊

@@maureenwilliford8985 I definitely agree that working with different sized needles can be a relief! I don't always plan it that well, but I like to have at least a "big" project and a "small" project, whether in needle size or finished piece size, at any given time. You have a great new year as well!

Those wooden needle cases are great. My LYS sells them for $10 which is such a massive mark up.

Yay, finally another goth knitter/crafter! I started the Clio sweater by Elizabeth Doherty in Wollmeise DK (black) on Dec 24th and today started another Gretchen sweater by Isabell Kraemer in black sock weight yarn by Greenery Wolle - those things never go out of style and will be staple pieces in my wardrobe. All the best for New Year's & greetings from Vienna/Austria 🖤

The Nosferatu popcorn bucket!! 😍😭 I called our local theater the Friday after Xmas and they were apparently all sold out. You're so lucky! Also, I've found that a great storage solution for spindles in particular is one of those cardboard gift boxes for wine bottles. I think I got the one that I use for only $5? But it holds all my spindles and is just rigid enough to protect them.

So happy to see I am not the only one who swiftly brought the sarcophagus home and immediately put fiber arts supplies inside! Thanks for the company while I finish a horned Viking helmet...I'm looking forward to getting gifts completed so that I can work on things for myself (greedy goblin laughter... 😆)

I am working on a crochet beehive kit friends bought me while simultaneously looking through Pintrest for new knitting projects that wont take a million years. Funny you talked about spinning, I just watched Bernadette Banner's video on spinning and I reeeally don't need to add another hobby to my list lol

I'm currently working on a crocheted chainmail vest for a new year's present! The yarn is acrylic/lurex blend, so it's turning out to be rather sparkly :D It's a freehand project tho and I kind of winged it in terms of structure, therefore it's a bit wonky, but hopefully it'll still be fun to wear thanks for a cozy video and a happy new year to you! 🎉

Ahhhh I had a similar idea to use the Nosferatu popcorn tin for my crochet supplies but I wasn't able to get it before it sold out in theatres near me 😭 i love seeing alternative fiber artists online, i want to get into doing more alternative stuff myself, bright colours are not my thing haha

I'm a monogamous knitter and I don't think I have self restraint at all - it's just that when I cast something on, I want to work on it ALL THE TIME until it's finished, and I don't see the fun in casting on something else and then having to decide which piece to work on. The only exception I've made is when I had something big and/or complicated going on and I needed something small and/or simple for traveling or for a bad brain fog day :) I'm currently in the middle of casting on Wool&Honey by Andrea Mowry (in green, of course, because I'm the same way with green as you are with black) and am struggling with the tubular cast on. Still deciding whether I want to keep puzzling that out or find an easier solution.
