Last Life #7: Make Up & Break Up

Last Life is an odd mix of a Social and PvP Minecraft game started by Grian. Players are thrown into a tiny world with almost no rules, except survive as long as possible.
Dark Green = 4+ Lives
Green = 3 Lives
Yellow = 2 Lives
Red = 1 Life
Red Players are given the goal of killing all the other players in the game. In addition to the Red Players, each episode Boogeymen are chosen in secret and randomly to kill another player. If they fail to do so, they will lose all except 1 of their lives in the next episode.
To add chaos to the social dynamic, players also have been given the option to share their lives with each other.

@@1hu1jandle Yeah, that reputation's both a blessing and a curse right now. To be fair though, it's not that Etho isn't good enough to solo the wither or fend off against other players on the server. But, he doesn't want to stick his neck out any further than he needs. All of his deaths (except maybe the last) in 3rd Life were silly; we don't want the same sort of mistakes to happen here.

Bdubs was really trying to be a better friend after not being there for Cleo at the end in season one. He was truly sad about it after the fact. Still would have liked to see Bdubs and Etho go wild as red brothers, maybe in S3.

​@@redshirt49 I think Etho was trying to do a risky trust test to solidify their bromanship amongst the other members. Since at that point in the session, everyone was just dropping left and right and betrayals were going on at the most strongest of alliances. I also think Etho regrets it afterwards, since although he knows that Bdubs had a chance to die, he was still clinging on the hope that he wouldn't -- which is expressed when Bdubs died to Grian. Also Bdubs still had a large chance to survive by running away from the reds after killing one of them, he just unfortunately picked the one wrong way to run to and got pin cushioned by arrows.

In this session, I get the feeling that the reds really are feeling desperate. Etho however has been playing it SUPER safe this session, ya love to see it. Almost the entire episode was spent at his base- but Etho isn't afraid to swing if he's swung at. So deadly

@@AtticHaunt321 I'm curious about that bet, Etho and Cleo are known quantities for me, I've watched etho for ages and know the Cleo did the Super Hostile maps long ago and of her reputation on Hermitcraft. Pearl is an unknown for me, I've only seen some of her Hermitcraft content which is much more a testament to building and timelapse skills than combat, but she is dark green while Ethos and Cleo are both lime with 3 lives. I am really excited to see how this ends, and alot of players lost this episode so things are definitely getting intense as alliances shatter and new ones are formed of desperation.

Etho didn't solo. Bdoubs did around the same, if not more damaged and wanted to attack. Whereas Etho wanted to run. Not trying to hate because ik Etho lead the whole charade, but he did definitely not solo it.

I honestly wished someone would make a "movie" version out of this, where they use everyone's perspective and line them up together in a timeline of events in the most interesting perspective. That way you could see preparation/prior talks of others before they attack and then see the actual attack out of both perspectives. It would also add a lot to such moments like Etho sneaking around invisible listening to conversations. But the effort behind that would be enormous, as you never exactly know at what point a video is right now, unless you see a death in chat or certain interactions.

I love this series so much. Especially BEST team, these guys are making the story so compelling, as are Ren and Martyn, but the best team stuff is just hilarious. Like how I watched Etho craft a clock and was like "why the... oh right, a clock is the cost of BDubs undying loyalty" I had almost forgotten that's cannon.

@@rylace That's not what Etho says. Out of many attempts, he's only managed to kill a Wither while riding a horse once. I believe part of the problem is keeping the horse alive. The other problem is that a horse can be difficult to control, especially when the Wither is destroying all the terrain.

Etho is such a big target, everyone sees him as a threat even tho he isn't the "best" at PvP. He usually just sneaks around other people's bases to steal stuff, or information... Maybe that's his power move Fortunately, nobody succeeded to kill him, yet Bdubs could've killed him a long time ago, but he didn't, until the end even as a Red Life. Rooting for him to win this season Wait and see...
