I've recently started to collect board games. I've got Tapestry, Rails and Sails, Dune Imperium, original Dune game with expansions, Spice Road. Dune Imperium is a real advanced game I didn't know it would be as difficult as it is. I really enjoy Rails and Sails. Getting Ticket to Ride this week, but please, any advise on future games would be greatly appreciated. I only Usually like 1-4 player games. Thanks in advance.

We started gaming a little over a year ago so take this with a grain of Salt. The only reason I feel like giving any suggestions is because you have Spice Road and The Golem Edition is the first game my wife and I got hooked on. Since then we've also enjoyed Quacks of Quedlinburg, Fleet the Dice Game, Chronicles of Crime, and The Quest for El Dorado.

For my family: Space Base get lots of play (dice rolling and building combinations; about a 1 hour game); Clank! (Deck builder similar to dominion, but there is a push your luck/adventure element to it; Can be over an hour); 7 Wonders is excellent for groups (simultaneous play, use resources to build your city (runs about an hour), and 7 Wonders Duel is a top tier 2-player game (Based on original game concepts but uses a clever pyramid structure when choosing the card you play; runs less than an hour). Settlers of Catan is also a fun game for groups, but there is some take that (choosing to rob another player when you roll a 7) and blocking other players as you expand your area; runs about an hour. I feel like this game is kinda niche being war driven I wonder how quick this game can infuriate someone especially when that person has already played 100 family type games. Just wondering. How many times a year would you probably pull it off the shelf. What’s the best player counts. Does it play well with 2 . This looks mainly geared towards boys. I don’t see girls saying let’s play that. All that said I really want to try it. Simultaneous play is good but sometimes people want to start taking the next turn before the other person is even done on thier turn. Again I Still want to try it.

Unfortunately I canceled my pledge, I think it's way over priced and everything looks like it was designed for little kids. I'm also convinced this will be on the shelves somewhere for $40 in two years

Hmmm, you haven’t actually given your initial thoughts as to how you’d rate the game from your plays. I’m assuming this is intentional but something im sure viewers are keen to know.

I don't usually rate games. Since this one is still in the prototype stage, I wanted to give a list of areas that people might find interesting that Last Light offers. And I did go over my experiences at the end of the video.

I've played it on Table Top Simulator. I really enjoyed the first 2 rounds of the game. It is a game where strategies are completely dominated by luck. Whoever gets the 'Leadership' tech card first has a huge advantage, and there's nothing to it but luck as to who draws it when. Additionally, the 4x of the game really just devolves to exterminate only as exploring, exploiting, and expanding just don't generate nearly as much light as exterminating. on the last turn I was able to generate 23 light using a specific tech card and eliminating all the ships at the star, leaving my entire fleet at the star. The game has a lot of potential, but as it is right now I wouldn't back it given the weaknesses of the game.
