Saw the show for the first time in Houston last night. I don't know how to properly express how iconic this show is. The way everything is framed, the marriage of music & visual, the complexity, the command... it's awe-inspiring. I was truly on the edge of my seat the entire time. I don't care what the judges say, Bluecoats 2024 is hands down the best this year and one of the best all time. Can't wait to see how much more polished the show is on Finals night! BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Bloo’s camera work is a million times better than Flo Marching. BD makes their own instruments, the Coats should have their own film stuff to overtake Flo Marching.

It is a shame corps use computers instead of the raw talent. First notes are computerized. We buy tickets to see and hear the corps members play and march. Not pose and use electronics. DCI needs to change back to drum and bugle corps, so this generation can know what it is like to march and play with horns that do not need amplifiers. It is a shame the talent is only used to pose and stand and play.

I agree - I'm concerned about this - In the opener are the first hits from the hornline with an overlay reverb-like effect? Or are they just recorded and cranked through the sound system?

@@tedrickenator just like the Tilt show. The bent note down and up was used by keyboard instead of raw talent. Bluecoats used to be proud of being the cheapest top 12 corps! Take away the crap on the field and unplug the electronics!

@@jeremyhodges6957 even with the amplification there’s still unamplified playing. I don’t think it takes away too much as long as it’s still entertaining, but I guess what is and isn’t entertaining varies from person to person
