You should take your pump and wet the straw to start the grass growing
@FadsterUK20 күн бұрын
Quite agree. Get that straw and grass seed wetted in. Sounds like you've got no rain coming but a bit of wind. You don't want all your straw blowing into the lake.

the area where the topsoil was stockpiled would make an awesome pad for a shop with an amazing view.

Looking forward to seeing you moving all the topsoil from the dam and pond to it's final destination on the property. Don't put dye in your pond/lake leave it natural, the fish and turtles will appreciate it I'm sure. Great content, keep up the great work.

Brian, it's been great to watch you and Chris work together on this project. But, like a good book this has come to an end. Time to to start a new book. I hope that it's as interesting as this one.😅

I don't know if I would put pond dye in your lake. I think it would look good without it. Anyway, I enjoyed watching the pond come together and I can't wait to see when the water starts flowing out of the overflow.

Important to get the grass rooted - build a irrigation system: 2" PVC, straight connectors, end caps; drill holes.

I'm an avid follower of Chris, Let's Dig, and have started whating your videos. I really like your perspective of all the pond/lake work. I saw you still had the Hyundai excavator in this video. I watched the video of Hyundai and I thought you sold it already.

@@davidb1664 thanks! Buyer bit off more than they could chew and abandoned the idea of getting it… This makes 2 buyers in a row! It’ll probably end up hanging around the Compound and getting an engine at some point, if I find one cheap.

What do I know 😆 but I don’t like that culvert pipe being there ,, That seems like a easy,clear path for water to end up in that guys back yard & at worse ,, into his house ,, Sure would be sweet if you could get your hands on a bucket for your excavator 😎 Oh ,, you need to do a service on your dozer 😎 you gots a bunch of dirt to spread 😆😆

It’s been there since the 60’s and is there to drain the spring/rain runoff coming from that side. There’s always a trickle coming out. It would flood their house if it was removed or they’d have to install a sump.

Pond dye is a waste if you have spring water.

use a truck ... put on an IBC container full of water and spry it on the straw?
@alpintourer20 күн бұрын
I think you should have made some additional waterfront building lots instead of excavating the cove. Selling them would have paid for this whole project plus some.

He has said repeatedly that he does not want to, absolutely will not, subdivide. It’s his dream property, and he wants to keep it. He’s had several offers, not interested. He said a day or two ago, no amount of money would be worth it.

Heck no! that’s how properties get ruined. The nitwit before me sold off the lot that those 5 new houses are now on. Makes me nauseous seeing them so close.
