I read that 2022 already is a record breaking year for Halloween sales. Sometimes it feels like Halloween is dying so it’s nice to see that’s not the case. I’ve noticed a considerable up tick in neighborhood decorations too.

I'm simultaneously happy and unhappy for the rise in popularity. Mostly happy because this means that companies will notice and implement more Halloween everywhere. I'm a little unhappy because everyone is buying all the decorations and I can't really wait until later in the season until they go on sale so I have to buy my decorations full price as soon as possible so they're not out of stock.

The best pumpkin carving tool is a small hacksaw with an offset blade. It cuts right through the pumpkin and the blade is small enough for intricate details.

Halloween in Target starts in July. Most everything Halloween has been picked over for months at out location. I started "Code Orange" shopping the second week in July. The dogs name is Bullseye. The red balls act as a barrier to keep vehicles from crashing into the store.

I bought one of those carveable foam pumpkins for my dorm (our dorm doesn't allow real pumpkins/jack-o-lanterns because they rot) and carved it with those dinky pumpkin carving tools. I struggled using those little saws even with a hollowed-out foam pumpkin!

I find it interesting how stores go from halloween to christmas , we never see anything out for the Thanksgiving hoilday. I dont understand why stores dont do thanksgiving decor. Wow I’m actually surprised by how much is left! I went to target on the 3rd & nearly every decoration was gone, no more skeletons, pumpkins, spiders, tombstones etc. I managed to get a skull with flowers in it but that was the only thing I found worth buying

The true reason why the balls are there in front of Targets stores. It turns out, they are concrete bollards and are placed on the sidewalks in front of the stores to stop a car or truck from driving into the building. Many stores use bollards, and while they do prevent damage and injuries if a car accidentally is going to crash into the building, they are really there to stop "smash and grab" burglaries, when a vehicle purposefully slams through a door or window of a store, then the occupants get out, loot the establishment and drive off. Labor Day is when traditionally in my hay day of the 1960's n 1970's, even in the 1980's, Halloween season begins, though I know the theme parks have August decorating n events from watching all the vlogs!!! School 🏫 used to start the day after Labor Day as well. Now, your guess is as good as mine?!👀🤔Though I truly think the trend of setting Christmas stuff out this early is way too soon!! It's not only overkill, it's buzz kill!!!!☠️👺But I love that you showed all the cool little Halloween statues n hats n masks n costumes n accessories that are left still in such detail, cuz there are still good items left!!! However, I think they should mark down the ones that only halfway work cuz of long time "trying" of the items all season, as well as the display items, cuz some of those cardboard set ups from displays would make awesome additions to home decorators collections for next year!!! I would even purchase one of those creepy trees set ups for my apt n I am 65 yrs old with no kids or grand kids, but I do so love 💕 Halloween. It has always been my family's traditional favourite holiday ever, from when we were kids, thru all our generations to this day, as my Mom n Dad did it up awesomely when we were kids n teens n we all did with our kids in the next generation, n they are doing it with their kids into this third generation of the great nieces n nephews n grand kids!!! My brother Ken Locher was the Halloween Master, as his house was featured on Fox News in Dearborn, Much, for years as one of the top 10 houses decorated. That was before the tv show house decorating shows. I even have my apt decorated this year for my enjoyment as well as my friends n room mate's.
