The day you go into labor take a ribbon,measure your belly,cut it and keep it in a keepsake box.You can put it around your waist in the feature to see the difference in size and it isn't a huge belly cast that you can't store it properly.

I measured my belly with my 1st set of twins in 1980. Started out 115 pounds and 23 inch waist. At delivery 180 pounds and 55 inch waist. Babies were 2 days late and were 7 lb 10 oz and 8 lb 6 oz. Too tired and busy to do it 5 years later with the 2nd set Lol.

I was told when I had my first child, almost 30 years ago...lol, to get him use to noise...especially while they're napping. Slowly he got use to it. Thank goodness because not only did I live in a noisy household, but the fire house was a block away from my house. I love the way Emma runs. I laugh every time I see her run. She looks like a super fast runner. I can't wait to see her siblings join her in her day to day activities. It's gonna be interesting to watch how she relates to them and to see how she handles sharing mommy and daddy. I think she's gonna be just fine.

With infants, you will even be able to vacuum their room with them sleeping especially if they are use to white noise. Back in the day all it took was to start vacuuming at the furthest room from them and continue on into their room. They don't usually seem to notice!
@pamelamorris50214 жыл бұрын
Make as much noise as you can. They can hear everything when they're in your tummy 😁 I used to stand the vacuum cleaner in the room and just let it go so they got used to noise. I cant wait to meet them. It takes me back 21 years to when my boys were born. But they came at 32 weeks and only weighed 3lbs each. Now they're almost 6 feet tall 🙃 x
@gabriellejablonski32944 жыл бұрын
Loved what you said about not being too cautious about sounds with these babies. If you think about it- they can already hear everything going on outside the womb so that’s what they’re used to and it won’t bother them when they’re born! Go vacuum, run around, do whatever they’ll sleep and eat anywhere!

I’m so glad you have managed to carry so far into your pregnancy. The longer they ‘bake’ the better for them, although I’m sure it must be very uncomfortable for you Rachelle at this stage. You will find the second ‘child’ syndrome is definately easier with routine because they just have to fit in. Emma is so sweet and I’m sure once the twins are home her routine will be disrupted for a while but I’m sure will also improve. Beau is still such a special boy, and Mister is somewhat of a mystery but also sweet. Can’t wait to see the twins 🙏🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻🐶🐾😺🌈🌍💜

What’s amazing , and almost alarming at first to see in America , is letting ur kids run down the road and play in the road. No matter where in England , it’s not safe at all to let them do this, it’s just too busy. Your so lucky. . However, right now, with lockdown it’s very quiet everywhere ... so safer and more peaceful. Love and luck to you Rachelle and Justin, with labour and delivery,,, the birth is so close now. Looking forward to seeing your twins coming. I figured they will be here next week. Twins usually are scheduled for week 37. My twins came during the 38th week. Of course my boy/girl twins are 43 years old and the doctor didn't know I was having twins. Surprise! Ultrasounds weren't done and I didn't gain much weight during pregnancy. I gained 22 pounds and my girl was 6 lbs. 7 ounces and my boy was 6 lbs. I knew there was more than one in there after having a singleton before but the doctor insisted there was only one all along. That was until the birth of the babies 4 minutes apart. Very surprised doctor!!

I think the best advice I got when I was expecting my son (almost 29 years ago!) was to start how you wanted to finish. I didn't want to be the silent house so it was life as usual as far as noise went. But dummy me I stopped that at about 5 months and regretted it until he was in his 2's. Not sure why I changed but it sure made life harder! I can't wait for little Emma to get to see her new little brothers/sisters/brother-sister! Stay safe!

Just a back up, if you wanna do the casting and the stuff doesn't come. Get news paper, cut in long strips . Mix one part flour with one part of water (eg, 1 cup flour and 1 cup water, or 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup water) until you get a thick glue-like consistency. Add a bit more water if it's too thick. Mix well with a spoon to get rid of all the lumps Wet the news paper and make a belly cast. Just a idea..
