Last night was insane, a tornado touched down and missed me by nearly a mile.

I feel lucky (or maybe it was by design) that the tornados missed the downtownn area of Chicago by several miles. I was staying in a condo downtown at the time the tornado warning was being issued, but really all I noticed outside were severe thunderstorms, no hail in sight. I still panicked and brought my backpack and laptop down to the basement where the exercise equipment is located, but really I just hadn't realized that the city was safe.
