I never had any desire doing 8.5x11 pages but when you walked through your beautiful album, I’m so tempted! Do you have specific photos you keep for this one versus 12x12? Also I’m extremely excited to see what you got from Stampin up. Really conflicted on some of the busier designs but I know you’ll work your magic and make me want to buy everything you use 😂

I love working in both sizes - but 8.5 x 11 just seems to be more fun for me. I was thinking of doing my recent trip as 8.5 x 11 - but I know I have way too many photos for that size. When I'm thinking about size of album and 8.5 x 11 is a good size when I have a definite project in mind like this mini vacation, or a birthday celebration or event. I have done a yearly album in this size and love that too as I know I don't have as many photos to scrapbook sometimes as I used to when my children were younger. I've just done 2 more orders with Stampin' Up! - so I need to start playing and creating as soon as possible, rather than just purchasing and loving all the new products.

Your album is beautiful Janice. I love the paper packet you chose - in fact you inspired me to delve into my stash and I found not one but two virtually complete paper packs. Also I have added the Friends for life stamp and die-cut bundle to my wish list. I love the ‘ friends’ double die-cut as I don’t have a Cricut to make word embellishments like this!

I am glad that you had a lovely trip to Canada & Alaska, I missed your videos but now we have lots to look forward to as you put your holiday photos into an album. Actually I am very curious to see what background you create for the photos of your hike that the other ladies have been uploading as it has been really quite interesting to see the difference in interpretation that each has come up with to make their photos pop!! p.s. my right eye finally opened up again last Wednesday after being closed for three months & today I am able to focus much better, although I desperately need new glasses. Hopefully when I see the eye specialist at the end of June I will get the go ahead for the cataracts to be dealt with. It turned out that my eye issue was the canary in the coalmine, as I could have had a stroke instead as my BP was sky high & my thyroid levels in the red again, so now I am under medication for both issues. I have slowly attempted to make some cards again, or at least the backgounds as stamping is another issue with my eyes being too blurry to see without using a stamp press but it is lovely to see the world again through two eyes, though I have to walk with a stick as the ground still keeps moving & I can't tell if it is flat or rising. 🤣🤣🤣
