Amazing that a channel like tactics is giving a spotlight for a smaller new comer like last resort ab. My only criticism would be to get someone who knows more about shoes to talk about them, the foxing tapes are completely different and you can feel it immediately when you put them on, vm002 side walls are thinner but have more grip and the vm001 is a little bit chunkier and has a bit less grippy but more long lasting foxing tape. Also the toe cap is for protection, longevity and it also holds the shoe sturdier for a longer time

Are they true to size? Or did you have to size down?

@@thxfter9288 I had to go down half a size, they’re kinda like cons. Normally I’m an 8.5 in most shoes but for cons and last resorts I’m an 8. This goes for the vm001 and vm003 from my own personal experience. I love both but I think the vm003 is my fav aesthetically, both skate pretty much the same tho. My favorite thing about them is the smaller pointy toebox it’s perfect for kickflips.

I skated these lows for 3 months and the shoes are great as far as leather and board feel but the soles wore to flat bottom ice slicks in first 2 weeks of light skating .....I do like how they look like a 70's russian prison shoe as well .

skated these for maybe 4 hours before i decided to just retire them and wear them casually. the suede is top quality, you can only tell i skated them on the foxing. as soon as my heel starts giving out I nope out of shoes REAL quick. I gotta go to work on these feet lmao. it comes down to me wishing the soles were detachable, in my experience with converse way back, lifting a glued sole is just not worth the effort especially if you've got weird arches like me. take care of yourselves yall, i have some oldhead homies out there getting surgeries in their early 40s, straight miserable. edit: btw this is just my 2 cents, if you wanna support a core brand and your feet dont ache chronically, give them a shot. $80ish is a reasonable price given their margins.

Canvas seems to bag out same time as the sole there suede is too quality but there rubber material doesn't quite last as long

Been skating my last resorts for the majority of the past 6 months or so and I never blew an ollie hole or tore into the toe really. They're made with great materials for sure, some people are most likely gonna want aftermarket insoles in them, which isn't a big deal since they're pretty easy to peel out. Plus I hear the newer drops are gonna have insoles that aren't glued in so that's gonna make them even easier to swap for a higher quality insole. Overall I don't really have any complaints and I'll definitely skate more last resorts for sure

Last Resort and maybe State are the only new companies id like to try in years. For.the longest time I've.mostly skated SB Blazers and dunks, vans classics, Cons CTAS and Adidas. Blazers being the best skate shoes made today, but I'd like to support at least a couple brands that are strictly skating

Holy shit that mellow little bowl looks insanely fun despite the fact I've never learned transition because what few parks we have had are so bad they're not fun, all indoors closed with the only outside one I like being an hour away with no tranny and only skateable for 7 months in Ohio. Is just kill to be able to skate something like this or the supreme bowk

Been really on the fence about these might snag a pair although I’m interested in how much board feel you have in them I’m skating vans authentic pros currently and I’m quite fond of the look but when I do flip tricks I feel very detached from the board I’ve skated just the regular authentic’s when I forgot my skate shoes before and was pleased with the amount of board feel I had but the canvas shredded almost instantly hoping the last resorts give me that feeling I’m looking for

@@henrybatley980 really sweet I appreciate you reaching out I know the impact support isn’t the best but I’ve recently shied away from any stairs and gaps with my future job being a very physically demanding one I can’t risk getting hurt so I figured these shoes would be great doing ledge and manual tricks

The canvas models have a rubber backing, like Vans’ Duracap. You’ll get a more breathable and similarly durable experience with suede. Last Resort’s grip gets shredded quick and the shoe can feel floppy/soggy after a couple weeks.

You then would absolutely love these! Amazing board feel for a quite long lasting skate shoe! The impact protection isn't very goos but i don't really jump down anything bigger than the very small drops so these have worked very well for me. The board feel will most likely be pretty on par with the regular authentics but these will last a lot longer!
