They didn't issue uniforms, they waited until the civilians were about to leave before training them in weapons, they "neglected" to tell some of them how to take their weapon off Safe, because of a "glitch," they made them come out in the future at 1500 feet (some of them coincidentally over a swimming pool), and they didn't tell them where the alien vital points are. It was a great practical joke. Putting the precious toxin in a thin glass test tube was pretty funny too.

I mean the whole idea of going to the past and ask for troops is just stupid, it just ended up weaken the past for the invasion that's what to come. Previous movie with time travel has already gone through the idea of forsaken its current timeline just to change the timeline from the past, but this do the opposite. And in case people say multiverse series, then it just strengthen the idea of not helping the future because it will be a different universe completely

It was unrealistic in the 80s but Hollywood likes cutsey scenes like this. I feel like the whole time travel aspect seemed a little under-used or even unnecessary, would've been a cool irony that them going after the spaceship is what somehow released them in the first place (how they managed to find the ship's exact location in Russia is anyone's guess), or that the toxin they developed is what actually created them, like some trippy paradox. I mean the fact that in only 30 years time they literally invent time-travel (but all other tech is still the same), but use it to recruit people from the past for the slaughter instead of like, oh I dunno, doing exactly what Chris Pratt did and find out where they came from in the first place? Why was he the only one to think of that? Also Cowen and Nora deserved better.

It's build before 2048 and also it will have a long service time. If you look at F-16, it's 50 years old and still gets used. Same with F-15 and F-14. So it most likely is an upgraded version of the F-22. My issue is, why does it drop bombs? It's an air vs air fighter, not multi role. They also don't need stealth, so they could use faster, cheaper planes. They could and should have used F-16, F-18 or F-35 or another later multi role fighter, not a hyper expensive fighter, that is made for air combat, and that's expensive to operate and hard to maintain
