ohioan here - regarding Randy's description of Brian being 'anxious' to go out that night, I personally wouldn't put much stock in that. It's fairly common around here for people (especially older individuals) to use anxious as a synonym for being eager or 'itching' to do something. my dad was similar in age to Randy, and was an ohio native his entire life, and he would use that phrase all the time.

Randomly listen to a podcast with the lead investigator on this case today. He has since retired, but gave so much information I had never heard before. The most shocking thing was that he said that Brian was not 100 percent heterosexual. He didn’t go into detail but did say that Brian was known to not be with only women. He has confirmed it and thinks this is the true reason between the up and down relationship with Clint. He believes that at one point they were closer than friends and others in their circle noted their closeness. He also insinuated that this line of questing was what got Clint to stop talking to the cops and lawyer up. I don’t believe Clint is in anyway responsible or knows anything about his death. I think this just shows how much of Brian was a mystery to even the people in his life. I think he kept a lot of secrets and because of that we will never actually know what happened to him.

I think Brian took off to party with the band afterwards, he told his friends he was going to talk to the band. The band left with a large group of people through a back service door. Another theory could be that he left with the band through the back door and then just walked over to Wendy's and someone or a couple of guys picked him up and did something nefarious. Maybe he made someone mad? I don't think he would have just left town and did that to his father or brother after their mother died.
@jobae.48284 ай бұрын

Agreed. I don't think he intentionally missed his trip to Florida with Alexis (even if he did flirt/cheat on her). I don't think he would tell his grieving father he would be there for him if he knew he wouldn't be. If he wanted to disappear, I don't think he would do it from a bar that had so many people and so much security. He could not have known that it was possible to slip through the cracks.

It's possible the dogs went to the smell of food to Wendy's, but I own a bloodhound, who is not a formally trained tracking dog, just a family member and if she is tracking a scent and "working" you could hold a steak up in front of her and she would ignore it to stay on the scent trail.
@Huff-and-Puff4 ай бұрын
Yea usually cadaver/search dogs are highly trained to ignore other smells, especially food, when on the job. They are specifically taught to ignore those scents and focus on the scent for marking. I don’t buy the “they smelled food” theory. I do buy that a very drunk Brian went to Wendy’s for a late night meal and either got into someone’s car or did leave on foot, but because the search took place so long after that night, maybe the dogs just lost his scent.
@suzymanville2324 ай бұрын

I agree if the dog is distracted by what would be a very broad area of smell, then it would be unreliable enough to be completely redundant. There was a case of a student in the UK who fell asleep in a bin and sadly tipped into a truck in the early hours...that could be another theory and why the scent ended at Wendy's.

Something I think of too is that my daughter, who is only 12, has a panic disorder. Sometimes when she starts to panic or have a panic attack, she just begs me to take her on a drive. She just can’t stay in the house anymore, the walls are closing in on her. She’s only 12 and fortunately she’s never run away as a result of this because I do take her on drives, but if you’re an adult and dealing with grief and any other emotional/mental health issues and you have other resources, maybe this was the case. For her it’s a compulsion and she gets frantic. It’s not a logical, rational thought process for sure.

I’m in Columbus Ohio. I remember when this happened. He is around the same age as me. Every time a body turns up, everyone thinks it’s going to be his… Or the guy who disappeared from The Hilton in Easton some years ago. I always thought Brian and Clint had a “thing” on the down low. If that played a part in his disappearance, I don’t know. That could explain a lot of Clients actions and jealousy.

Wasn't he also at the age when schizophrenia symptoms can start? Paired with the trauma of his mom dying and maybe using substances.. could he have had a mental break that night and just left? I just heard of a case where a young man disappeared and his family saw him on a kick stream being "interviewed." He was very far from home and seemed disoriented and was homeless, where he ended up. I really wonder about the man in Mexico. If they didn't interview him, or he didn't even remember his old life. I don't know. This one is confusing. Anyways, thank you for the video and your hard work! I've heard this case before, but i appreciate hearing another perspective on it.

Don't think this is the case. He was about to complete med school so I am assuming he was in his late 20's. Usually there would be some signs, something off before that age. Got all the way thru college and med school without any issues.

Speaking of bad security cameras, the management company that “ran” our apartment complex recently went bankrupt and dropped out, the owners association took over and when handing over access to the security cameras the former management admitted that the entire camera system has been obsolete and haven’t been replaced or updated since 2006 🤪🙄

I wonder if anyone found the ring he was going to propose to Alexis with? If not it makes me wonder if it WAS him who went back to the apartment so he could get that ring. That way he could sell it for money that was untraceable. And since Alexis had already said she wasn’t going to run away with him maybe he just thought “Eff it”.

I think the problem is is that this case has too many theories and outlandish stories and such supposition that you can’t take anything seriously. I think Occam’s razor is that he left with somebody and met with foul play and they got away with it.

The former lead detective said that Brian was bisexual, as confirmed by his high school gf and one other anon person that they interviewed. This info was released a few days ago - look up the latest True Crime Garage episode on Brian - they interview said detective. I think Brian walked to the Wendy’s and was picked up for a homosexual encounter and violence or accidental overdose ensued. I believe that Clint and Brian were in an on again, off again relationship hence the fights and passive aggression displayed by Clint. I suspect Clint clammed up in order to hide his sexuality

I worked at Applebees in 2020 in Las Vegas and yes you can have more then 2. We use the tam card rules and you as the server just judge when you want to cut them off, its the same as waitresses and bartenders do in casinos for free drinks, its just really up the servers disgression. Also lots of bars in Texas do $2 you call it well drinks which is depending on the bar.

My mind goes to the idea he realised after fancying them girls that he didn’t want to propose, but he’d already told everybody he was going to, and being drunk and all the emotions being way higher he felt he didn’t want to let people down and just ran off, and maybe he got lost and sadly passed away; such a confusing case and very sad:(
