The probability of getting the skin by drawing 'x' number of chests is (1 - 0.99^x). So in your case you got 65 chests for 180$. So the probability of you getting the skin is 1-0.99^65 which 48%. And probability with 100 chests is 63%. And a 95% probability with 300 chests. So yeah ! I guess you are lucky and makes sense why there is a resale market for 350$.

Yeah Mollie, they are expensive AF, but sometimes people get pretty damn lucky! The farm trick is nice especially if you want to sell the skins, because you will still need to buy the $50 gift bag to gift to your main. Still "can" be cheaper though to do farms! I'm curious why if the math shows that skins are typically acquired by spending $250 to $300 in packs, why there would be a $350 market for buying the skin direct from another player? It would be less expensive (long term, in theory at least) to just spend $300 in packs AND you get the pack contents and diamonds in addition to the skin. Does it have something to do with the cost of the packs being much higher outside the US?

Because it's a great gamble and u can only do it in $280, $380, $480, $580 etc. They make it so you can only buy the $100 pack after $80. So you either get lucky, or end up spending more than $350 anyway. Does that make sense?

So I watch your video often and agree with you more times than not. I do understand this processing. I know this video is 9 months old so your thoughts or process may have changed. My personal or experience is that the percentage is based on how many you actually bought ,have on hand and actually use. The math with this game is so warped its difficult to actually get a real legitimate number and gauge metrics. My point is I've tried open just 1 small pack, I've tried opening $180 Worth in USA dollars of all packs& up until paid for the largest pack and got nothing. I guess what I'm asking and saying is you need at least all packages up until $180 spent usa to at least get a 65% chance I believe to get a base skin. Now mind you, I have been an idiot and attempted this in the past at least 3 times. Out of those 3 times spending the same money on 1 base singular;I have only successfully achieved a base skin. You said you believe that percentage is based on what you buy and what we all saw which is 1% but is that percentage based on purchase or how many your actually have on hand or open? I will take it 1 step further and say I believe the percentage is strictly based on what you buy and open in that specific Duration. You can gift skins as well but i think it costs $50 to gift it. So if you have a bunch of farms you could try your luck once on each base. Didn't Think of that until too late also 😭
