Ration trucks don’t need to be connected to roads - fill them and remove from the grid. They’ll still work and won’t consume power

Not supplying the ration truck saves rss but it also drops your population which inturn also drops your bank efficiency thereby reducing your cash production. I supply my ration truck periodically to insure my banks stay at 100%. It's a timing thing as it takes awhile for your population to drop after taking the ration truck off line. You can still save substantial rss but zero supply of truck hurts cash flow because population reduces.

might be late and not sure if someone said anything yet but i am testing stuff right now. as of right now you can disconnect the bank and still makes the same money. you probably disconnected the banks and houses at the same time like i first did. but when i connected my houses back up the banks worked back up to 100% even though i left them disconnected

I don’t know if something is change, but now (I play on Apple) bank produce money without roads, and house you can cut out and connect just when you need populations for upgrades.

Are you sure about the Banks needing to be on a road? I moved mine off and the little $$$ production animation carried on, and it was the same as the Banks still on the road.

i noticed that the more banks you move off the road the lower that production animation shows you making. when all banks are moved off the road it shows like only 1's and 2's, but when you click on your money on top to see your production its still the same as it was before even though the animation shows you making lower numbers. so its kinda confusing. the animation shows you making less but the over all productions shows you making the same. i ended up leaving my banks connected just in case.

Good tips but LOTS of buildings like the war rooms, missile silos, training centers and several others do not consume power. You don't have to disconnect that many buildings. my lvl 25 has 198k/h consumption with construction center attached, 188.8k/h without and max power saving. DD seems to have skewed my consumption though, I thought it was lower

So i'm not the only one doing this lol? You only need 1 hospital connected if you want to be lazy. If you have excess banks for your population, disconnect those. You can still disconnect storages, just disconnect the storages you aren't using, unless you are always at full storage. Helicopter can stay disconnected until you need it. You can keep energy refining plants and circuits disconnected until you need to refill them. I put all the buildings that aren't connected in their own fork on the road so it's less work connecting them.

If you fill up your ration truck and then disconnect it, you keep all resources in at 100% and the population stays at 100%

Even if you have the roads for ration truck, the population won't drop below a certain level. But you need 100% bank efficiency. There is a better way to manage 100% bank efficiency without filling the ration truck.

@@juicylemon5164 You can do that by managing the minimum population of city without refilling the ration vs the bank population. The increase in production of cash per higher level of the bank is not much when compared to the drop in efficiency if the population is low. This was clearly visible earlier.. after few updates now, the production of cash per bank is not visible. Example: If your houses are lvl 23 your population won't go below 175 k even if don't fill ration. Say your banks are at lvl 20 and you have bank population of 173k/173k, money production will be 70k/hr at 100% efficiency. You don't have to care about ration. Or If you have banks also at lvl 23 money production will be 80k/hr at 100% efficiency at bank population of 220k/220k. You will have to keep your rations full or it will drop to 175k, the money production will go to 55k/hr with lower efficiency.

Ive had the ration truck off the road for 2 days now. My population has dropped to about 70% of what it was and it is still dropping. The only noticible effect of this I've seen so far is that bank income drops it's at 72% efficiency right now. I'm assuming these will stop dropping soon, but I'll let you know.

So I realized population is actually not dropping anymore. I'm base lvl 18 and my max population was 121,000. With ration truck off the road, my population is now 84,700. (70% of original) The thing that threw me off is every time I click on my population, the number shows red and is dropping. That must be a bug though because it never actually falls below 84,700.
