11.28.2015 Took my younger sister and backup driver Jino out to Timber to get my last three abalone for the year. Conditions were brrrrr outside, vis was a decent 25ft.

Great video Chuck. Lena did really well. Her diving skills really improved and she looked like she was having fun out there. WTG!

Nice vid! In September another video from roughly the same spot showed far less kelp and more urchins. Did you see anything like this on your last dive there? If you search KZbin for Abalone Diving at Timber Cove 1015 you'll find the vid I'm referring to. (can't paste the link for some reason) It was published on September 11, 2015.

Yeah, I have to agree. It's looking like a come back.

Have you noticed a comeback in other places? It's been a while since I've been in the water.

is it all 25 ft+ or are there like 8-10 feet for abs? starting out and don't want to tempt 25ft. more comfortable in the 8-10ft range for now. my friend stop by redtriangle spearfishing. he was surprise of the location. i might need to stop by and need some of his expertise on ab diving gears.

Yeah, tell Matt you want the Chaeki discount it helps (redtrianglespearfishing.com) Also abs are in ever depth, thats how rock pickers manage. Definetely go with a friend thats experienced so that you have a eventful fun dive. After a couple runs, you will be hitting depth.
