Not politically correct, just look to current wars around the globe. The vikings did conquer, they became known as the Northmen, or simply Normans. The Normans ruled much of what became known as Great Brittain, France, Germany etc. To rule those countries they conquered many armies.

I wouldn't say it ended. As clovis converted to cristianity so did the norce men (Normands). In time brettons concuer and settle the world. Roman spaniards cant get their echonomy in order for latin america. Scorpion King let africa to be concuered and divided, ptolomeys held it together for a while. All Vikings did was attack weak farmers and fishermen lol. When a real battle came they lost or ran. The only thing they even conquered was northern Scotland and the founded Dublin which they were removed from pretty fast. Iceland and Greenland didn't even have people in them.

George Zackrison that we neither «opted into Europe» or «christianity» for one example read up on Olav den digre/hellige and see how he used european mercenary armys and divide and conquer tactics from vika to valdres to trondheim until Tore Hund and his men killed him.
