RIP. That thing was like the pinnacle of all S10s back when it was new. Such amazing options of the day such as a/c, 4x4, extended cab, a tach...lol.

Just a Carb problem, sounds like good compression. 2.8 carb engine were the worst.Most people just drop 4.3 TBI in place and never have another problem! 2.9 Ford Rangers were the same way! great video!

I think that's the best I've seen the s10 run.

It sure looks like it has seen better days; thats for sure. Im sure it was one of the better trucks of its day though.

Before taking a car to the junkyard, take out the battery.

That thing was always in big pain in the ass to start. And it would never want to move and die out all of the time.

I have a 93 GMC Sonoma that looks similar but mine isn't in that bad of shape lol. How many miles is on it?

Oh man what a hunk of junk, haha. That truck is so done. "She don't like to move when she's in gear..." - I think that defeats the point of being a truck, LOL

Keep it, fix the poor engine ,then paint it lol Oldies are the best

I don't think that the tach and the gas gauge are very accurate. The tach doesn't just get that high when you start it and drive it.
@KnuckleHeadGarage276 жыл бұрын
Well I mean you can't forse it like that sounds like it has a miss and your revving it so high and then slamming into gear haha it isn't gonna stay running like that can't believe this wish I could have bought that truck the 2.8 engines are good as long as you have taken care of them like maintenance wise . That sucks just wish could have bought this one before it was sent to scrap yard I just bought a 85 gmc s15 with 2.5 and I hate it I rather have the 2.8 any day or even the 4.3 . I'm just not to crazy about the 2.5 4 cylinder

InterestIng thought you're actually getting rid of a truck that has reverse, lol I remember the banana could always make that truck run on the first try, lol

Did you ever use this truck as a truck on the road or just around the farm at one point when it was more useful? That tac. is more interesting to watch than to really do anything.

My dad bought it in the 90's and drove it until it became too much of a headache then he gave it to my uncle who used it as a plow truck.

are you driving your 63 Olds??
@bah5310 жыл бұрын
No. That one still has low compression in one cyl. I want to get that fixed before I drive it too much, plus one of the tires on the front is the old bias ply spare, I should probably change that before I go out on the highway.
