I love the story of Admiral Byrd. But when you started delving into Hollow Earth Theory, it became to much for me. I do believe there is something in Antarctica that is being kept from us though. There is a reason that it is a no fly zone, that people are not allowed to explore, and that in 2024 high resolution satellite images / mapping is not made readily available. I also keep an open & sceptical mind as it is extremely important to do so. In order to do so I believe it's important to keep within certain confines of using unblemished resources to come to conclusions. This "missing diary" sounds very similar to Edward Bulwer-Lytton's "Vril: The Power of The Coming Race" (1871). Byrd, a son of an upper-class family and having been educated at VMI, UVA and USNA, was undoubtedly familiar with literary works such as these, which probably influenced his writings.

I personally know a man, a husky trainer, who has crossed Antarctica 7 times with various expeditions. He doesn't make a big deal about these crossings and is willing to talk about it or any number of other subjects that interest him. Somehow My mother and her siblings.... were aware of Admiral Byrd and his efforts. My mother talked me out of becoming any sort of military due to what was done to Byrd. Pretty much all I heard about in the 80s.

This village is close to the border with Chile and back then there was no land road to get there, it could only be reached by a small plane or on a horseback. The medals were US Army Infantry medals and the name is not Byrd. Tho some of this checks out with a sea captain from the 1500’s where he drew a map that had docks and trade that had cities and jungles with a river that runs across the center splitting about 2/3 of the way south. He describes the same people and said their height was 3meters so 9 ft. They told him he was welcome everywhere except for the 3 pyramids.. they were not for his eyes. NASA has now confirmed everything on that map to include the large dock and had baskets of food still on the docks like a flash freeze happened.

1946 - 1947 - That mission ended early because they were under constant attack, and it wasn't from that day's aircraft. That mission ended very early, because the crews said they just couldn't win those conflicts. Also, his son released his diary after he had died. So was there supposed to be an interview with a last surviving member off byrds crew. So are you agreeing with the government debunking off Byrds information?

As a former Naval officer who currently resides in Winchester, Virginia (Byrd’s birthplace and hometown) I’ve researched Admiral Byrd. There is little doubt in my mind that he falsified his sextant readings on his first flight to the North Pole in 1926. He never reached the North Pole as he claims. In military service, any branch, this casts doubt on any findings on any subsequent mission - even though such doubts may be unwarranted. Falsifying a mission report is a big no-no, whether Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard. Consequently I would treat Byrd’s observations - or anyone associated with Byrd’s expedition’s observations with a skepticism reserved for liars and exaggerators.

Idk what the deal with Antartica is, but for the entire world, in all of our greed, hubris and malice, would leave such resources essentially untouched, unmined, undrilled etc. simply does not make any logical sense. Yep, weather is horrific, so upfront costs would be expensive, but since when has that mattered? Casualties would be high for workers, but imagining the pay offers to people willing to risk their lives for those resources, again, financial gain *ALWAYS* trumps liability, and if those were the main reasons, we would already have pipelines sprawling out like spiderwebs from the area while tens of thousands of people drilled through, plowed into and built supports in giant ice mines for who knows what minerals, precious metals, gemstones etc...not to mention the potential biological discoveries frozen in the ice. That said, there *has* to be a reason that every major country in the world publicly ignores the South Pole. You never hear about ti on the news, you never hear about in any media really; Besides conspiracy channels/shows that is. To think that investigations by Discovery or other Science channels are not sending crews there because they can't get permission makes zero sense. _"Don't go explore this unclaimed area of Ice. You'd be trespassing on land owned by no one."_ ? Seriously? Lol, little green men, tall silver dudes, or 6'5" blonds with telepathy riding Mammoths?
