My friend and I were having lunch last Thursday and he mentioned that his dad was telling him about glass that glows. So, I gave him the lowdown on uranium glass and then reached into my purse and brought out the black light I purchased after watching your videos (which I’d been telling him about because he likes to thrift). Anyway, we ran a couple errands after that and ended up at Goodwill. He found a shot glass with a slight green tint and asked me to check it with my black light. Low and behold, it really glowed! He was so excited!

I collect cobalt blue glass. I love it! I have two sets of bowl's that were my grandma's , I don't know how long she had them , a 4 piece set of the white corning ware with the blue flowers and a set of 8 Corelle bowl's each one a different color. I couldn't believe my aunt or uncle didn't take them. I'm not into antiquing but through the year's I have found some in empty house's I was cleaning that someone left behind.

Read a news article about a child who brought his grandmother's uranium glass piece to school for a show and tell time, teacher panicked when the child mentioned it was uranium glass. The Wolfe figurines sadly aren’t actual soapstone. I always thought they were soapstone too. They’re actually cast items, made of a plaster-like compound with a top-coat to give gloss and hardness. One can often find them here in Canada. I still think you have a good price on the cute bears.

@37:23 i think thats a vase and the shade goes on a jar candle. The lip of the vase has details that would be covered by the shade and i think they're two different seasons. What an amazing deal on the two Longaberger bakeware. I have the 9x13 to that set and use it all the time even cutting lasagna and serving with metal spatulas. Still looks new. Problem had it for 30 years.
