sorry buddy, I actually don't know what's happening over there or what has happened. Currently, all traveling to Tibet has been banned. There are reports that the monks are rioting. Pretty much like it happened in Bhurma recently. They are being brutally supressed. Of course Chine denies this. I don't know what to believe. actually the Tibetan system is brutally oppressive against "lower" classes, where the religious leaders don't do anything and live in rich palaces, while the poor peasants work their butts-off and if they get sick they are told by their priests that it's because of "evil-spirits". What China has done is give those peasants some dignity

Why anybody worry about Tibet, and forgetting England's occupation of Northern Ireland, Chechnya, Bask land, Kurdistan... USA? Americans took over USA from the Indians, who complained? Tibetans happened to be in wrong time at a wrong place and, the most important, their army and weapons were inferior to their enemy's. it has happened to so many wonderful tribes in history - Celts, Aztecs, American Indians .. to name just a few. the romanticism of some warm-hearted ppl is clashing directly with cold world of "realpolitik." And be honest to yourself, if YOU had the choice, would you prefer to have bizons still grazing through Silicon valley, instead of enjoying this KZbin?:-)
