I think he broke up with him because he felt like he was holding Mhok back. Not because of the lie. Of course Day felt hurt by the fact that Mhok would lie and turn down a chance of a lifetime just becuase he is worried about Day. At least thats my view. They both did what they did for the other person

I understand why you had this reaction, but I think you might benefit from a rewatch of the episode. Day deserves independence and honesty, and Mhok deserves time to grieve and heal from his sister's death without projecting his fears and guilt onto Day.

It is hard to be disabled but Day and Mhok are still new to this world. This episode proves it. Day still hasn't adapted to new way of living as a disabled person and hasn't navigated his emotions regarding with his disability. It take many years or even several decades for disabled people irl to accept themselves and the way world is. Mhok still hasn't maintain a balance between self-care and care for others so Day's disability made him even more paranoid alongside with his deep-seated trauma. He started to rationalize an obligation to care for others and began to isolate his own identity outside of obligation. So yeah, both of them need to work on their issues before reconciliation.

Even though it's a difficult choice, the breakup was totally needed. They will grow as people who are independent and eventually their relationship will get to the point where they actually can live their lives trusting each other and overcoming their fears.

At this point..I feel the break up was needed..ik many of the ppl are not liking that thing..but this break up will help Day to realise that he can take care of himself and his condition should not be a hindrance in the growth and success of his partner..Also Mhok will realise the actual difference between being a caretaker and an ideal boyfriend..I think this breakup was required..and it is for the betterment of both of them and for making their relationship more successful in future...Ik many ppl are just hating this series now..but really we cant expect the fluffy scenes all the times..We should see how perfectly the conflict was executed in this episode..I could literally understand the perspective and concerns of each of the character..I feel this was a very good episode..And hats off to P Aof for giving us this masterpiece..!! Also the acting of Jimmy and Sea is mind blowing..This is gonna be my favorite series by far 💖💙💜 Edit : Also we can see how Mhok was worrying too much about Day..like that accident thing and the moment where he couldn't find him inside the room..Also he also neglected his work for that thing..But Day was alright.. He just wanted to take care of himself.. Walking around and playing with the kids.. After Day came to know about his job in Hawaii.. And how Mhok just declined that opportunity just because he was too worried about Day and wanted to stay with him all the time.. At that time.. Day understood that Mhok is declining the job just because he was worried about day and wanted to take care of him.. That's why.. He pretended to break up...And I feel this was required.. This was the best ending this series could have.. like considering a blind person as a normal person.. And thinking that he can take care of himself as well..

It's not about the fluffiness that we are all into all the time. Would you want to break up just because your partner lied to you, and you assume that you are hindering his success? Have we ever asked our partner why they came to that decision? Yes he may have been scarred from his sister's death. But how can people just nonchalantly say "oh it's for the betterment of their relationship in future" oh come on now.

Es evidente que Mhok tiene traumas que debe superar, el problema no es tanto de Mhok si no tambien de Day, ambos necesitan aprender a soltar, Day debe aprender hacer mas por si mismo, algo que ahora Mhok por su trauma no le dejara hacer, ademas que estara siempre preocupado, y podria hasta dejar el trabajo o hacer que lo despidan. Y es algo que Mhok al final reconocio dentro de si, pudo Day pensar mejor las cosas, tal vez. Pero las desiciones que tomamos pueden parecer estupidas, pero cuando lo hacemos por el bien y el crecimiento de nuestra pareja no es incorrecto. Ahora que Mhok abandorara a Day por el exito que estaba teniendo, si seria incorrecto y egoista, y tambien seria incorrecto que Day le negare a Mhok la posibilidad de superarse.Es que lo que hiso Mhok de mentir a tu pareja no es lo peor, lo peor es engañarse a si mismo eso es lo que le dolio mas a Day. Day sabia que Mhok deseaba ir, es una oportunidad unica. La experiancia de trabajo y mas en el extranjero suma bastante a tu portafolio personal para el exito en su area de chef.

You have to understand that all transplant operations that involving with crucial organs might not always been successfull. The chances is tiny due to many factors especially for the eyes transplant, mostly happened afted received from donator (deceased), either those eyes can accept or reject to the new patient. Sometimes, infection may happened during the procedure as well and/or the corneas patient become deteriorated while waiting for the donation. It has been shown before that Day still has to do regular check up even though he had already totally blinded in order for doctor to monitoring his eyes condition. I totally understood when I had watch Kdrama which is Stairway to Heaven that was also had the same storyline of eyes transplant operation procedure.

1:08:11 I think that's the point of the breakup(?). Mhok always does everything for Day, but now he needs to know that Day can do his things by himself. Also, I agree with what you say about Mhok going to the States cause no one has asked him if he really wants that or not. But I think Mhok will accept to go not because he just likes to cook, but because this is a great opportunity for him. We see that in the first episode, no one wants to give him a job because of his past. Maybe cooking is not his dream, but an opportunity to start his life again by doing something completely different. I only hope they show a little about that in the next episode.

I wonder why everyone seems to ASSUME and accept it as fact that Mhok really likes to work abroad, far from everyone else? Like it was his effin dream job and his passion? Everyone here is looking after what Day wants and needs in his life. Day even questioned his mom why couldn't he decide for himself. How about giving Mhok the chance to decide for himself too about what he wants? Did he just go abroad because of guilt and against his will because Day said so? Why is no one talking about this?

THIS so much this. he didn't WANT to go without Day, it's not been his dream to be a chef because he was a technician before. he could have easily worked at Day's mom restaurant. He clearly only gave in to the breakup because it's what DAY wanted, he always does whatever Day wants.

Mhok❤ Give him some understanding… Understand the part of going from caretaker to boyfriend, but break-up is so silly.. He lied because of love, and fear - not pity. Day should know this! Mhok also finally shared his feelings about his sister…. Hug him, stay with him. Like he did for Day all those times. I did not like this turn in their story at all, and I hope Day will fight for Mhok. That is equal love❤

Its funny about the fact that Day's mom is literally a celebrity chef and for sure she could have helped Mhok with giving some guidance. Going to Hawai is totally unnecessary. I feel Mhok that he wants to be close to people he loves. There's nothing wrong in that, he has full right to make the decision about his life. I really dont like where the story is going unless plot twist Mhok doesn't go to Hawai.. that would be interesting

I so agree with you Lidia, since the beining of the series i always say why Mhok is always taking care, comforting everyone but no one bother to do the same for him, out of all people Mhok deserved those treatments too. I didn't like this plot for this episode i feel like they will give us something like a tale of a 1000 stars. I just want a simple happy endind for them, i hope they can give us that. Actually kinda sad that Mhok and Day broke up, but they actually need this to understand each other more deeply. Also i love how Mom mention about their relationship, Mhok was his caretaker, since then he was with day for like 12 hours a day, even if he was home, he knew Mom and Night would be there to takecare of Day. That's why when it's only two of them and Mhok is working, Mhok worried about Day, esp his trauma with Rung. Bcs no matter how he treat Day great without feeling pity but deep down he actually did, he just didn't realized that.now they're broke up Mhok would see that Day can takecare of himself just fine. And also Day can proof peoples that he can do it by himself. And hopefully Day would understand Mhok's side why he act like thaf since trauma isn't easy to deal and he has nobody take care of him

So many people are saying “this break up was needed” or “day broke it off because he feels he’s holding Mhok back.” Okay, sure. I agree with both those statements. What makes me angry is HOW this happened. This was so damn abrupt, no one acknowledged Mhok’s bravery for opening up about his sister, and while Day may be doing this because he doesn’t want to hold Mhok back, this is absolutely not made clear enough. Especially when he turns the whole thing on Mhok and blames him for pitying him. Ugh!! It pisses me off. I think if before the time jump we see them have one more discussion where each of them lets the other FULLY EXPLAIN their perspective and they still end up separating to live their lives, I’ll be satisfied. But if they go years without ever speaking about this and the show tries to play it off like Day did nothing wrong here, I am going to be absolutely livid.

why is everyone so concerned about Mhok being heartbroken?! why cant people see that Mhok has become too dependent with Day. if he wants to take care of him more he needs to do something with his career. and take note HE HAS A CRIMINAL RECORD already and that he had a hard time getting a job. so this new opportunity was PERFECT for him. the people hired him bcoz he was capable and was not looking at his criminal record. and Day know all of this. I think it better ends up in this way. This entire EP shown us that Mhok is slowly turning into an overprotective boyfriend. It would result in a toxic relationship in the future. Day is independent. He seeks for freedom. So I think this is the best opportunity for them to rethink about their relationship and how should they commit together to pass through this hard time. I know. What Day did is too childish, maybe. But don't forget that he was lied before by August. So it's reasonable that he reacted like this when he found out that Mhok lied to him too. In the conclusion, I'm with Day.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR REACTION!! Totally agree with you, they took this route that is typical and might spoil the ending. I am glad Day got the cane though as it was very important for EVERYBODY TO know he is blind when it is out and be mindful of that. On the other hand, I heard he "might get another eye transplant" in ep 12 and that is just going to be a terrible storyline and I agree when you asked if he can still get another eye donation at this point 15:35. I hope for a great ending but regardless this show was a great one with a unique storyline!

Understanding perfectly why this path was chosen, of learning for both characters, I think it was necessary, what if I hated that the decision was forced by others, that it is taken by Day while he has matured and is taking the first steps . To be more independent. While Mhok was increasingly taking steps backwards, he likely lived a frustrated future for not fearing the opportunities he fought to achieve. Although it hurts me, it hurts me and I need therapy (I'm already exaggerating) to continue seeing Day a Mhok suffer, they have only had very little time of happiness together. I would have preferred a happier path, where Day would have regained his sight, both would separate for a while so that Day would finish his studies and Mhok would travel to Hawaii for a few years to work, then Day would give him a surprise and he would appear in Hawaii, similar to the scene in the restaurant at Christmas, and they would be together until the end of Mhok's remaining years, then they would return together and meet again with family and friends. And they would have their final romantic moment (And the end). It's what perhaps we all would like, but believe that they are giving us what we need, a more real learning, how to learn to let go, to trust, to be more independent, to overcome obstacles. This chapter left us many lessons, and we got to know the characters more deeply, each setback is a character development, which we began seeing in Day and the next chapter we will see his more complete development and we will fully know the development of Mhok. And we will see if now they can be together or will continue on separate paths. It could be an open ending without more or one to continue in a next season.

I think people need to understand that not only Day needs to be independent but also Mhok needs time and space to think about the relationship!! Mhok's trauma about his sister is holding him as well as Day back from moving forward!!! The chef's job is like a new opportunity for Mhok he was charged with assault and was not getting any job in his field!! This is the reality of life Mhok can't leave every new opportunity for Day!! Just like how a child needs to move out of house or their comfort area to get better understanding of their life that's how like Mhok needs to get out his Dependency of emotional support from Day!! He never saw his worth.His trauma is holding him and Day both back and after sometime that will turn into toxic relationship!! Its better to let go sometimes than making it much worse by holding it on too tight! Also Day is the reason Mhok was happy throughout the series if you compare Ep1 Mhok and Ep11 Mhok you will understand how Day made him a better person!! How Mhok ignored (sometimes) his sister and Porjai for his friends and took them for granted!! And now he knows Day's and even Porjai's Worth!! DAY BROKE UP SO THAT MHOK COULD BE SUCCESSFUL!!!! THE BREAK-UP MAKES SENSE TO ME!!! IT DOES NOT SEEMED FORCED!!!

About the infection - most of the time people will get it after the operation because there was something done on their body. So he probably did not have it before the operation. And about the break up I agree with people who say that it is needed. Both of them need to grow up - meening getting stronger and independent. Mhok needs to find peace with his sisters dead and not getting scared by every phone call that something happened to Day. He needs to have more trust in Day and realise that he has his live and can not look after Day the whole day. That is why Days mum said there is a difference between being a caretaker and a boyfriend. And Day needs to really start to live a life as a blind person - using the cane is one example of many and he needs to realise that not everything people do to/for him is out of pity. And the thing is they are not at this point in life now. None of them. Would I be more ok with Mhok going to Hawai and Day staying at home and by this having the oportunity to grow, and still be boyfriends? Yes I would. But either way they need time apart and for themselves.

I cry for Mhok the most as he is so alone in this he just gave in to what Day wanted and Day wouldn't even listen to him. Just saying he's holding mhok back... from what? He didn't want to take the job in Hawaii and should not have been forced into it by Day. Now he's going alone to a place where he doesn't know anyone and will have no one there for him but Day will graduate and become more independent without Mhok there. How is that fair to Mhok?? Day has his family there for him but Mhok Doesn't have anyone. He was even crying outside alone. 😢

Day breaking up with Mhok was a really silly thing to do. How many people would give up their dreams for you? If I were Mhok, I wouldn't pity Day again. Day would have to be the one to apologize and ask for reconciliation. In the end, we saw that the most selfish person is Day, not Day's mother. Mhok made the mistake of taking care of his older sister. Dreams don't have to go to Hawaii. But it's about making dreams come true with the people you love next to you.

"Giving up dreams for you" isn't romantic to disabled people, it's worse for them. In their whole life, they always feel like a "burden" and others giving up everything for them hurts them a lot. As a disabled person, i understand Day. But Day is still new to this world and still hasn't navigate his emotions with his new disability. It take many years or even several decades for most disabled people to be comfortable with being a "burden", accept the way world is and people's pity or selflessness.

I know that in the end of the series, as the years pass by, Mhok will be successful and the two will meet and reconcile and have a happy ending. But if in real life the person who was abandoned by his lover his life jurney go too far, he may succeed alone and meet a new one or maybe fail completely. It is sad Mhok has no one left. Day doesn't want anyone to feel sad for his disability but it's his actions that are pathetic. Yes, Day is probably new to being blind. Everyone has a loss and a big change that cannot be compared with each other. Day judges Mhok based on his momentary anger, and the belief that concern and the fear of losing a loved one are pity, not on reason. People who love each other will support each other to follow their dreams It is not forced to follow dreams and before you realize that what you did was wrong, you will lose something valuable. I think we all can choose to put our dreams on hold and then start again when we're ready because sometimes we have to choose, the most valuable thing is in front of us because if we throw it away and don't take care of it It usually doesn't come back again.
