I can recommend the mirror guards, it has definitely saved our mirror from 3 good hits, 1 was in Switzerland, I a delivery van down the lane and I caught a dry stone wall in Wales, very highly recommended. Great coverage of the show, we went on Thursday and got us a new cadac safari chef 3, will keep our years old big cadac for home use now, tried it out yesterday to cook some steaks, lovely small lightweight bit of kit. 👌 Regards Mark & Lorna

My brother in law has something similar to the Gladiator, he carries it around in the back of his 4 door Ram 2500 longbed, a bigger Ram than the 1500 shown here, these truck campers are not cheap by any means, he likes the ability to get in smaller camp spaces here in Oregon, he has a 5th wheel that mounts in the bed, he takes one or the other, He finds it increasingly more difficult to find spaces for his 5th wheel trailer, that's why he bought the in truck camper, its used but in nice shape. I've really enjoyed your N.E.C. content, the UK is to on top of the latest things and ahead of us in many ways especially when it comes to quality.

@@BobEarnshawMoHo Thanks Bob, yes there are bigger payloads like 3500 etc and the cabs are bigger too, Ford does a 1500, 2500, 3500 and 4500 with dual wheels, tbh I much prefer smaller trucks like Hi lux Ranger etc. I work on cars trucks and Motorhomes. I'm a Brit and was born real close to Clumber Park, I've seen many of your videos and enjoyed them for years, Jenny and yourself really do make sense to us, maybe one day we will be living the Dream too.

The collapsable aqua roll is a great innovation - now added to list! We ordered a Swift Carrera 184, via Salop Leisure Dealership (near Shrewsbury) on the Swift NEC Stand. Manager from Swift stated the unfortunate reality of price increases as of 1st April, again October 2023, across the Swift Range, due to base vehicle price increases for Swift. Swift concerned with market indications of getting hold of volume required of base vehicles from late 2023 into 2024, reasons i will not list here. This combined information made us decide to order 6+ months early, from planned. Able to order with deposit, to fix-in current price at NEC, with agreement between Swift and Salop Leisure Dealership. Delivery between Aug - Oct 2023. Interestingly, all fixtures, fittings in the Swift Carrera are now made by a German Company, a first for Swift reportedly, hence change in quality and ambiance. Great that Swift & Salop Leisure worked together on the Swift NEC stand, as made ordering easy.

Not sure how stable the CampPod is to tow, it's not very aerodynamic! I've seen quite a few of them in laybys as coffee/food vans, but not as a caravan!

Bob when you showed the Coachman Motorhome and said this was good or not so you forgot it’s £136000 for that money it should have been perfect but was not. In 1970 my first house cost me £3250 if we had known then the prices now we would not have panicked as we sign on the dotted line. But praise to you two I’m 74 and could not have walked round as much as you two have. See you both out and about soon.

I was interested in the claims made about the electric camper van, we have a brand new Vauxhall Mokka electric car which says it has a range of 210 miles when fully charged, in reality we only get just over 100 miles at this time of year, that is not having heated seats on or the heaters, the range on electric vehicles just isn't quite good enough at the moment to be able to drive to a destination, and have the power to live off grid so you would have to plug in, the cost of recharging now is still cheaper than petrol but it takes a long time, plug in at tesco for 1 hour costs £1.20 ish and puts maybe 20 miles in the car. We have a 12 month old Adria motorhome so we had the electric car to offset the diesel. Would I choose an electric vehicle again now having had this one for 6 months? Maybe not, we will see if the range improves in the warmer months. There will be huge improvements in the coming years I am sure, and I love how the mokka feels to drive, just not happy with the reality of the range. Just my own personal experience of an electric vehicle.

Yes, they claim to have driven it 200 miles on one charge on the 75kW battery.

@@BobEarnshawMoHo yes that's good if true, our car is a great medium sized car, and acceleration is very quick, I wish the manufacturers could be a little more honest about the summer and winter difference with the range, luckily having the motorhome means we don't have to travel on holiday in the car. Things will definitely improve with the batteries.

At the moment I leave it on, the other reason is so the batteries don't go flat, which can damage them. If you choose not to have the heating on low permanently, I would suggest taking bedding and finishing indoors, as there is the danger of mold.
